Good enough for ideas and a few tricks, but longer than necessary.
In some ways, just another antiquated acrobatics manual. In other ways, a fun read for the would-be handbalancer, with a few useful tips & cues you might miss the first time through.Probably the most valuable components of this book are the suggestions for learning the press handstand variations, the visual & kinesthetic cues for maintaining balance, and the wrist strengthening techniques described throughout. The "hundreds of handbalance variations" are fairly useless, honestly. There is no clear training process, though there are some standards described, to which one could train before pursuing new tricks. The book is longer than necessary, the sketches are less useful than photographs would be, and the Kindle formatting is spotty. It's still a good read, especially if you are new to handstands and inversion stuff, but it's hardly the "everything" of handbalancing guides that it promises to be.
