Works with parasitc power
Hooked up two of these along with two TO-92 style to create a temperature monitoring network at my house. Ran one of these through a 1/4 hole to the outside. Network has been setup and working for almost a year, no problems. All of them are still working fine. These probes seem to read 2-3 degrees higher than commercial monitors, but they are always consistent.Using a Raspberry Pi and a simple shell script to grep (grab) the temperatures and put them into a database. Very simple to wire and configure, and read temperatures. Just go into the Pi's configuration and enable 1-wire and it reads the temperatures. Occasionally I get a false reading on one of the four sensors. I'm taking readings about once a minute 1400+ readings a day, false readings occur only a few times a day, seems to happen more now that I've switched to parasitic power mode, originally was suppling the power on the VDD pin. I suspect these have to do with my reading the file while the OS is updating (do a read on the 1-wire network). Run tests on an ESP8266 with some other DS18b20's don't seem to do this. I think if I change my read method, it would probably eliminate these false readings.

3 of 5 were DOA
3 of 5 had a defect in the wiring inside the metal sheild. 2 of them had a 25ohm short between ground and 5v and 1 of them had a short between ground and 5v. The devices burned up when powered.

Haven't tried them yet.
Have not hooked up sensors yet, when your survey was posted to me.

Cannot be used to replace 10K NTC temperature sensors.
Product with lifted with 10K temperature sensors. It was not.

Bad quality
Not truly waterproof. It is simply shrinked but not with a sealant.

hard to set up but works good
worked very well. they should give the MAC number with the units - would make it faster to set up. After 3 months in water they fail due to water penetration.
