Looks warped but in physically great shape, ice probably doesn't fit, cap has an unfair rep
These are great! Here is what you need to know before you buy:I don't know why everyone is complaining about the cap, I have no problem with it. It's about as sturdy as the cap on your average disposable water bottle, and just think about that. How often does a standard screw top water bottle leak? Never. I filled this up halfway, screwed it semi-loosely closed, and shook it vigorously. Not a single drop came out. Will it last if I drop the bottle on the lid? I don't know, but it's also a glass bottle, so I have a lot to worry about. They are designed to fit in a cup holder but also to hold a lot of water. These two features combined make the bottles very tall and, at first impression, very thin. This is not a bad thing! Just think, if your average water bottle is 16 ounces, this is going to be nearly twice that but with the same width, so obviously... tall. I took a few pictures of it to get an idea of just how tall (see below). When I first got the bottles, I immediately noticed two things. The first was that they were freezing cold. That's not a complaint, they had just come in from the truck and it's winter, but it does push me to mention that the bottles almost immediately adjust to the temperature of whatever is inside them. So, if you have cold water, the bottle is going to be super cold. It stays cold about as long as any cup of water wouldThe second was that the bottles looked warped, and all in exactly the same places, and you'll see this in the picture of the two by the mason jar. I ran my hands up and down the bottles, but I could not feel anything at all! I have no idea what this visual warping is from, but it does not affect the bottle. There is also a "seam" going down the side of the bottle, but same as before, you can't feel it at all. Both of these imperfections are completely invisible when the bottle is full of water. I didn't do a great job with the photos on that end because it was wet when I took the pictures, but trust me, it looks a thousand times better full than it does empty.Lastly, as a small person, it has a nice sized mouth. I would say just slightly larger than a quarter, definitely smaller than a half-dollar. I have not tried, because I am a weird person who prefers sink-temperature water, but I don't think most ice cubes would fit through it. They would have to be either crushed or machine-made.As for the other pictures, I have one next to a pitcher that I took from a bottom-up angle which nicely shows that the warping goes away but poorly shows the height of the bottle compared with an average 2.25qt pitcher. I have one next to a bottle of oil and a 32oz water bottle for a height and width comparison. There is the one photo of the two bottles empty, and I also tried to show the bottle full of water, but again, it was wet.

Not too practical.
Bottles are super tall and fall over easily. They are also cloudy. Look cheap. I wanted them to put a homemade drink in for presents for the holidays, but they are kind of not pretty, nothing lime the picture.

ok
Okay, but way too tall for my fridge or cooler. Sad to say I cannot use these for my juices. They are made well though so I will try the 16 or 18oz ones instead.

Good for Storing Smoothies
Bought the bottles to hold my double batch of smoothies. I double the recipe in the evening, and save one for the next morning. These are tall and slim. They don't take up much space in the fridge. My smoothies survive quite well overnight, which was my main goal. They are heavy, so it's not something you would carry around with you all day. The only question in my mind is the top. It is translucent and rather thin, which I don't think matches the 'look' of the bottle.

Sleek & elegant.
These seem the same as the now discontinued Aquasana 27-oz bottles that I've been using for years. Of course, these have no brand name or logo. Otherwise, same size, shape and cap. I've been using the old ones to store filtered water and coffee which I prefer cold. I'm now making blackberry shrub and need to store close to a gallon in my fridge to age for several months. Then I'll use the contents up over the next year and gradually gain my space back. I bought these Austin Springs bottles and they are perfect.

meaning the bottles won't seal and leak terribly.
Caps don't fit properly without modification, meaning the bottles won't seal and leak terribly.

Simple, Perfect, Glass Bottles.
The bottles are great, and hold enough water for a grown adult to drink throughout the day, which isn't usually the case for glass bottles. The lids seem to be a good quality, with seals that should not leak. If they do, I'll update my review accordingly. I just think they could have been a little thicker with the plastic on the caps so that they seemed sturdier. So far, though, they are perfect!
