Spin To Knit
This book is truly a wonderful resource for new spinners who also love to knit. I believe it will prove to be a resource to which I will refer for years to come. The book contains several patterns for homespun yarn, which is very important for gauge and end results of one's work. There is a wealth of information about spinning wheels and the Lazy Kate, as well as technique for spinning properly. I look forward to many years of enjoyment of this expertly written book!

It's a good book
Spin to Knit: The Knitter's Guide to Making Yarn Β I have enjoyed this book. I am house bound so I needed something in writing and pictures that would help me with my spinning and this book filled the bill! I enjoy reading from it, then trying out the instructions. I would recommend this book to most.

Spin to Knit
This is a wonderful book for people that are new to spinning. this helps you understand how to spin hand spun yarn for a certain project. I have always been a spinner that sees a project, goes and spins the yarn for that project and then knits it. I don't buy commercial yarns, I always create my own. This is a very nice book with easy and harder knitting projects for all. And it helps that some of my yarn was featured in one of the projects!

Useful Material
Although I have not read the whole book I can already say that it has given me some good information as a new spinner. I would definately advise anyone that is fairly new to knitting and spinning to read this book. Maybe even experienced spinners would benefit.

Depends on what you want
It is a nice, colourful book with interesting stories about the contributors, and tips such as using aromatic herbs for keeping wool nice. How useful you find this book depends on what you want out of it. I bought it for patterns on knitting handspun wool and feel it could have done with a bigger variety of patterns, particularly for jerseys, cardigans and jackets.

Lots of patterns for handspun
I recently purchased this book with the hopes that I could learn more about drafting for different purposes but there is little for a spinner who is past the very beginning stages. Good patterns for homespun yarn but I wouldn't purchase the book again. The best advice: for overspun yarn - treddle slower...

Spin to Knit
I was disappointed in the contents. Did not feel that it really addressed what the title represented. I will probably give it away.

fiber crafts
As a new spinner, but long-time knitter, I'm glad I bought this book. It took me from one process to the other with valuable information. I have a better understanding of how I can use my hand-spun yarn.

Just ok.
An ok book, very scant on knowledge. Patterns are ok. Perhaps I was spoilt with other great books that I have bought previously. As a relatively new spinner I didn't learn anything new from this book.

spinning for knitting
This book is very informative and has some great patterns for folks who wish to spin to knit rather than spin to weave as the yarn required for knitting needs a different feel to drape correctly.

not what I expected.
If you are young & want a book that shows you from the beginning how to spin without going too in depth & then some patterns then this may be for you.If you are older the patterns probably would not be for you, as they are not my cup of tea. I was disappointed with the patterns in this book & expected more from it. I will probably pass it on to someone a lot younger than me.

Spin to knit
This is a good resource book for spinners who want interesting but small projects to showcase both their spun and hand dyed yarns.
