Yorkville K4 - TRAYNOR KEYBD AMP-300W,12"/2X5"/TWTK4 - 300w, 12 inch / 2x4.5 inch / 2x2.5 inchThe K4is an advanced, extremely versatile stereo keyboard amplifier thatdelivers a wide spectrum of tones. More importantly, it has the abilityto sound right with a minimum amount of tweaking. The K4 consists of three separate, built-in amplifiers, fortrue stereo operation with a mono-summed woofer. A 200-watt LowFrequency amplifier drives a 12-inch, 200-watt woofer, while a pair of50 watt amps drive the left and right channels, delivering the mid andhigh frequencies through a set of 4.5-inch, 30-watt midrange driversand a pair of 20-watt 2.5-inch compression drivers with horns. One unique feature of the K4 is how Channel 1 utilizesa pair of 12AX7 tubes, one for each channel, left and right. Thesepreamp tubes supply warmth and smooth out the harsh harmonic overtonesoften associated with many modern Digital keyboards. It also excels atmaintaining the warmth and character of vintage synthesizers and organswhere it isn't always practical to use the much larger powered speakercabinets they are typically associated with. There is also a select switch to toggle between using eitherthe tube or a Solid-State signal path, bypassing the tube on the inputaltogether, for those times when the cleanest signal path possible ispreferred. Channel one also features a foot switchable Tube Overdrivecontrol, for those who like to add a small amount of grit to theirplaying. Depending on the level, a small amount of warmth right up tofull grit can be had from the Tube Overdrive. Natural tube compressionis a very desired tone as the subtle dynamics can't be properlyemulated by most of today's digital workstations. Use this feature toadd some grit to an otherwise sterile keyboard tone to make it a trulyvintage, tube-based one. A single button latching footswitch, like our AFS-1can be used to engage the Lead/Overdrive feature. If a footswitch isconnected, it will disable the front panel switch. Addi

Jack of All trades
I use my computer out to this from my headphone jack currently, also RCA out from my TV. I've had mine for 6 years. I've had multiple spills on the front and have had to take the front off to dab it dry. :/ The sound is still great. When I got my QSC K12's I thought this Amp wouldn't have a place anymore. You don't need a mixing board to push this Amp and you can feel the sub. During a band practice a guitar amp went down and this Amp was turned to. You can connect so many things to it. It's a jack of all trades and I can't help but love this amp. The K12's with a good mixer may have pushed a lot but I also had a sub. If something happened to this amp I would replace it. After not playing for 2 years I had two spills on it and now that I see the price tag for something I'd want to purchase again and again I need to be more careful. This Amp has done it all from my Electronic music to Acoustic guitar gigs and vocals. Whatever happens to the other gear this Amp will always be there to multitask one time it had nearly every jack plugged into when some other gear was having issues I worried a little but it handled it well. We didn't make a routine of it.A+ A+ A+ A+
