CorrosionX Rust Inhibitor, Industrial-Strength Dielectric Corrosion Prevention, Lubricant & Penetrant for Marine, Automotive, Electronics & RV Use, Protects Bolts, Cables, Engines, 16oz Trigger Spray

I've been using this stuff for a long time and my only complaint was with the spray can - very hard to dispense a very small amount. I was getting low on this juice, saw this trigger pump dispenser and it solves the problem. An additional comment - I have a row of chip brushes for all of my liquid lubricants, penetrating solvents, etc. hanging on screws in my shop, with the product names marked on the handles. Very handy for spreading the products when that's necessary. When they get dirty, I use some Brake Clean to clean them out.

Use for firearms is a no-brainer, and for storage this stuff is a miracle. I don't use it as a lubricant, cause that's not what it is. After 40 years of firearm ownership and one hell of a lot of training, use, and building, I haven't found anything better than air compressor oil. Engine oil is pretty good, but it cokes up inside a compressor. Well shoot- compressor oil DOESN'T - so at $5 for 16oz at Home Depot, it protects against the comparatively miniscule friction that a firearm generates for a fraction of the cost of dedicated "gun oil" and doesn't have any of the other chemicals in it that a lot of gun oil does- the kinds that require you to wear gloves. That said, I also built a tornado shelter in the basement. 3/8" steel plate epoxied to the floor, drilled through so I could run 5/8" rebar 5 feet down through my floor and into the earth, then the block wall on top of the steel, and angle iron lining the wall, welded to the steel plate. Then 1/2" rebar welded to the angle iron going up to more angle iron along the top of the walls. Occasionally we get a deluge that allows a little bit of water to invade, plus our humidity here buries the needle on the hygrometer. Rust on the iron is almost a certainty, and when I found it, I hit it with a wire brush and sprayed it all with this stuff. Two years running and it looks like I just sprayed it yesterday.

The marine community suffers from the most aggressive rusting environment because of salt water, humidity, and solvents. Reading sailing forums lead me to Corrosion-X as both a rust remover and preventer. I could not believe most of the stories I read about Corrosion-X being used on submerged steel and still preventing rust, or how it took of years worth of rust after 24 hour of soak time. It turns out that all the reviews and claims about Corrosion-X are true. I now use all Corrosion-X products for anything metal including for cars, motorcycles, metal working machines, and anything I want preserved for ever. Also, the company has fantastic customer service. I had a minor issue with one of the spray bottles and they took care of me within an hour! Expect simply amazing performance from Corrosion-X for eliminating and preventing rust no matter what level of humidity you deal with. Keep at least a can or two in your supplies for when you need to remove rust or keep a new item from rusting.

You have the choice to buy this is an aerosol can or this pump bottle. Even with the tube, I was afraid I could get it where I wanted it in small RC electronics. So when I got the pump bottle, I was really happy that I had the choice of how to apply. First I could mist spray or stream spray. Misting is almost like aerosol, except you get a lot more product in the pump bottle for the money. Second, the stream spray allowed pretty good placement in small electronics. A small art paintbrush was perfect for spreading CorrosionX around on a circuit board, etc. And finally, if you want to dunk, it is easy to fill a small dish with a few pumps of the spray bottle. So, my review is about how to apply more than the effectiveness. I can say that this dielectric fluid is the best. Absolutely no hindrance of electrics passing through it even on the smallest connections. I use on RC boats, and it is really bullet proof.

Very expensive. Claims to stop rust in its tracks. The product goes a long way though, And should last me for many years. All you need is a tiny bit to cover your tools, bolts or Whatever you're working on. The sprayer absolutely sucks. I think the liquid is too thick and when you Use the spray pattern that always comes out as a stream.

Quality product at a competitive price point.

I’ve used this product (along with the grease) for many years and it really protects (and lubricates).

I spray this on many things that need protection from rust and corrosion, and it's just that easy. It's an easy choice for annual maintenance. I wish stores carried this, but at least the bottle will last a long time. If I had a new car, I'd easily go through a bottle just spraying everything under it as well as motor parts like injector tops, basically anything that might need replacing over time. It'll help make the removal of those things easier.

Expensive but works really well.

Don't really know about the supportive for me partner for this motorbike so it's after waste until he's used it
