Good quality valve
Replaced old valves this these. These are well made and of good quality at about 2/3 the cost of what my local big box hardware store wants for them if I can find this 1/4 turn ball valve type. Would recommend.

Can go either .50 or .75
Used on pool filter housing, perfect fit.

Awesome replacement for the old leaker that was on my boiler.
For whatever reason, I find myself draining my boiler almost yearly for upgrades, tune ups, pressure tank, air bleeders, etc. The old cheapo valve the original installer used years ago began dribbling. Whenever I replace a valve in this house for dribbling, I try to use a ball valve. The 1/4 turn feels great, and in the awkward position is much simpler to operate.

Its fine for a drain as listed
Not a full port valve. Its fine for a drain as listed. But its port is restrictive to any larger types of debris found in the bottom of a water heater
