Didn't get to put it on because I had mine painted to match my truck. But it looks easy to install

Pro: The gate was very easy to install. Price was good and it looks nice on the truck. Product arrived on schedule.Con: The packaging was a little ragged. When unpacked, found a chip in the paint. Although not a big problem since my truck is a little older and has a chip here or there, the product should be packaged better to withstand the rough shipping it is experiencing.Overall: The product looks great, was priced right.

Got this for my Chevy Silverado 2500 HD after backing into my fifth wheel with the solid tailgate up. Ouch! I had one of these on my previous truck and didn't realize how much I would miss it when RVing. It makes hitching and unhitching much easier. I took the backup camera off of the original tailgate and installed it on the CustomFlow. Works like a champ! The brackets that hold the hinge points are adjustable and I did have to loosen one side up in order to install the tailgate. The instructions don't suggest that and they should. Now it fits great, no wobbles or rattles and is very sturdy. It was delivered within the two day window promised.

I bought this for a 2013 Silverado 2500hd. When I first put it on it didn't fit right, the drivers side bracket was too big. So I broke out directions and they said to replace the bracket with the other one included in the box. I did and it fits and looks great. It is a locking tailgate but the key is CH751, there's hundreds of thousands of. Good news is that it's the same as the locks on my 5th wheel so I don't need to carry an extra key.

I purchased a custom flow VEL17 tailgate for my 2007 Silverado 2500 long bed truck. It does not fit. The size is correct but the distance between the hinge points and the latches is an inch or two off. I went to the Advance Manufacturing Site (maker of Custom Flow Tailgates)to check it out. On their model list, there is an asterik next to 2007 Silverados that says that some models use a different tailgate (VEL12). Apparantly that is the problem. The Amazon description made no distinctions between between the two body styles for 2007 Silverado. Unless there is an easy way to modify the tailgate I will have to return it, which is not easy. Other than that the product seems to be well made.

I'm only giving this 3 stars because there are spots where the paint has flaked off after only a couple of months on the truck. Other than that it's great.

Looked good and easy enough to install.
