Didn't buy it from Amazon, because Amazon didn't exist yet.
We bought a similarly designed Heritage Farms feeder about 30 years ago. We tried many other nominally squirrel-proof feeders, and this design truly is - it can be fun to see them try all kinds of things to get in. The old design has a wooden dowel as a perch, and I've had to replace it once or twice because bird claws wear it away eventually. Otherwise, it's been problem-free.
