Upgraded review to 5 stars, hereās why
Maybe itās just me (or my baby) but it didnāt seem to make a very dramatic difference in the flakiness on his scalp. He does have eczema too so that my be a part of it, but I find just as much success using virgin and organic coconut oil. The balm itself is a very soft texture and has a pleasant smell, so thereās that. I use it for his face sometimes which helps keep his skin supple and smooth, which is why Iāve kept it and continue to use it from time to time. But as far as for the cradle cap I donāt see much difference when I use this.UPDATE 4/12/18: Ok, so Iām totally swallowing my previous words. First, let me tell you that my sonās eczema and cradle cap has gotten so bad the past couple of weeks. His pediatrician recommended nothing but Aquaphor on his face and body and coconut oil for his scalp in between baths, and bathe him only 1-2xwk...and Selsun Blue for his scalp. Ok, I did as recommended...and his eczema got soooo much worse, especially on his face! Itās rare but it seems my son is allergic to the Aquaphor. With that being said, I was desperate to try anything, and this balm is advertised to work for skin problems too, so I decided to rub some on his face and see what happens. WOW, what a difference it made! There was such a dramatic different after only 1 day, so I kept at it and let me tell you, his eczema on his face is almost healed after only 3 days of using this balm! With such a dramatic difference on his skin, I decided to give the scalp another try. Before when I left previous review and only 3 stars, I was following other reviewerās recommendations to leave the balm on the scalp for 20-30mins, scrape off the scales with fine tooth comb, then wash hair. This didnāt work for my son. Maybe because his eczema was so extreme. So I left the balm sitting on his scalp OVERNIGHT, then I scraped off the scales w comb in the morning. And it worked. Thatās all I can say. 2 nights of doing this and his cradle cap is almost completely gone!I didnāt take a ābeforeā pic of his cradle cap so I didnāt post before/after pics of that but what I do have is pics of his sweet face before and after using the balm. In the before pic I used the Aquaphor for 3 days, 3-4x daily as per his doctors recommendation. He had such a bad reaction to it, his skin looked like it was burned almost. I showed his doctor this difference and the balm, she said āWell if it seems to work to use the balm, then continue to do so I guess!ā.Believe me, I will, and I tell everyone I can what a miracle product this is. My baby doesnāt look and feel so miserable anymore, and that alone is my reason for upgrading my previous review from 3 stars to 5.Just keep in mind that this is our personal experience and what may work for my son may or may not work for your child. Itās rare to have such a reaction to Aquaphor but Iām SO glad to have an all-natural product that actually works for my lil guy!

EXTREMELY PLEASED! Rid us of cradle crap in a matter of hours!
Wow. Wow. Wow.I have never been so impressed. My daughter is 5 months old. She has had HORRENDOUS cradle crap, it covered the entire top of her head. I had tried baby oil, coconut oil, keeping her head wet, keeping it dry, etc. Nothing was working. A doctor visit for a prescription was a 2 month wait. I got on here and found this and a brush and holy shit. Her cradle crap is basically gone after 2 uses. Once at 6pm and once at 10pm. She slept through both times. These are photos of the two products used, the cradle crap that came off from the 2 uses and what's left on her head now. Extremely pleased with this combo of products!

Returned Unopened
I ended up returning this item because it has manuka honey as an ingredient and when I showed it to my pediatrician, they advised not using it because honey can cause infant botulism in children under one. Although you aren't feeding it to your child my pediatrician said babies touch their heads and then put their fingers in their mouth and that they wouldn't chance it. I can't fairly say how the product works as far as adding moisture to skin but I can tell you my pediatrician recommended I didnt use it.

not just for babies - works for adults as well!
Wife here. This product is amazing. I have struggled with scalp dermatitis for several years. I have found using the most natural, gentle products is the best (harsh dandruff shampoos only make it worse) but I was never able to fully prevent flaking on my scalp. Within two treatments my scalp completely healed. I have found I do have to apply it every time before washing (otherwise I will have some flakes); I leave it in for at least 30 min. I have dry skin/dry dermatitis... if you have oily skin/hair it could make more difficult to cut the oil when you wash. I am very thankful to have found this product. It's completely natural and has a very light, pleasant scent (I am also very fragrance sensitive).

Miracle cream
I use this stuff for EVERYTHING! It's greasy so when you use it for cradle cap you either need to wash baby's hair soon after or clean the excess with a baby wipe. I did the latter and let it sit on my baby's head overnight and it didn't transfer on the bed at all so that was great. The little cradle cap comb they sell on here to loosen up the flakes and washed her hair the next day with mustella cradle cap foam shampoo. I did it by holding her in a football hold over the bathroom sink. It's much easier to wash her hair good like that. I washed it 3 times and used the comb and with the combo of those three things I have a brand new baby lol. Her scalp is like brand new again! Her hair is so soft. I know those flakes were bothering her cuz she would turn her head back and fourth trying to scratch it on the pillow then she learned how to use her hand to scratch her head. She's all better now. I also use this as diaper rash cream and it works like magic and I burned my finger and put some of this on it and the pain went away instantly. Oh yeah I also used it on a flea bite and it went right away within a couple of hours. This stuff is awesome. It's greasy from the coconut oil in it but it's like magic just buy it! I will continue to use it on everything! For my whole family! Thanks š

I was skeptical upon buying this but hated seeing my 4 month old daughter's cradle cap get worse. She would scratch her head badly from discomfort. Regular shampoo and brushing didn't seem to help. After two days of using this balm, her cradle cap improved by 95%. The other 5% might have just been me missing those areas of her scalp because she has so much hair but I am still delightfully surprised by the results thus far. I'll continue to use this until the cradle cap completely disappears. I also really love the scent. Thought it was strange that the balm didn't come with instructions so here's what I did.1) Rubbed a thin coating of balm over baby's dry scalp (a little goes a long way) and let sit for 20 minutes.2) Brushed scalp with Safety 1st Cradle Cap Brush & Comb.3) Washed hair with mild baby shampoo twice.4) Repeat steps 1-3 once a day.
