Hydrocal Plaster Regular Set Scenery Plaster Model Railroad 18 Lbs for $36 Free Shipping

I have been using U.S. Gypsum's Hydrocal for the past 50+ years to do basic scenery and rock castings on my model railroads. It's easy to use and is stronger than Plaster of Paris. I can mix it to various consistencies depending on the actual job I am doing and it sets up pure white, ready for stain. The box I received from the Plaster Guys was stuffed tight - literally. The contents were fresh and everything worked as it should. Thanks!

It looked ugly when it arrived. The box was all deformed but it had a bag of plaster inside so it didn't really matter. The bag was not punctured.The plaster works great for crafting and is forgiving if you don't measure it exactly.You shouldn't put it into smaller pre measured baggies and transport it in a box on the front seat of your car. The cop didn't take my word for it that it wasn't cocaine. Awkward.

Prompt reply from The Plaster Guys to my query. Package arrived quickly and the powder was packed to the brim! The powder is definitely 'fresh' as setting times are according the manufacturer's guidelines. Will be purchasing more soon as I've almost gone through my 25lb bag!

Plaster guys on amazon and ebay is a really amazing seller, I’ve purchased over 200lbs of hydrocal for my mask molds that I make from clay. The quality is superb and great, you can easily mix up with water and it makes a solid impression within 20-40 minutes. Sets really nicely with details perserved. I love the way hydro cal heats up when it’s hardening the water seems to disappear. Again Thank you plaster guys

I use this product to create stones from molds. I have much better results from this than cement. Nice, smooth surfaces, and fewer bubbles. Also, it's much easier to drill holes into than Quickcrete. I wish it were less expensive, but it's perfect for my use.
