If you want to actually understand BJP and it's history , every fall and meteoric rise of BJP, it's ideology and cultural nationalism through the experienced eyes of BJP's messiah shree LK Advani jee who lived every moment since 1953 to write this masterpiece about his political experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed the book. Advani ji brings out many facets of India's politics and governance as an insider's account. Got to know many new things. Would highly recommend it for info on India post 1947.

Very nice book. Everyone must read it. The same is not only concerned with the political life of Advani ji , rather it is a history of independent India.

This books helps the reader know facts about Advaniji s opinions on various political matters n separates truth from propaganda.

Advaniji is a visionary leader. His autobiography helps us understanding the history of Independent India from his point of view. If you read this book along with "India after Gandhi" (which is i should say, unduly gives too much importance to Nehru and is heavily biased). Both of these books, gives a good perspective of modern day India after 1947. This is a must read for anyone who has interest in Indian politics
