Previous one lasted over two decades
I bought this as a replacement for the exact same model. After many years of service the adjustment screws on the top disintegrated -- solenoid was not rusted and diaphragm was not leaking.

Lawn Genie /Toro has great service and they make great products
Been using Lawn Genie products for years & the last time I needed to replace a unit was over 20 years ago They last few days ago I notice a leak around valve assembly & thought I could get by with a repair kit the local box store did not carry kits and since I needed a replacement bought whole new unit. As I said I only needed the diaphragm and valve assembly put on turn water on & bummers sprinklers would not turn off Ok thought maybe solidiod was bad put another one still would not turn off water bummers. Back to the box store buy another one same results I give up call tech support for Lawn Genie/Toro Bill the tech support guy give me a tip there is on the other side of the bleeder screw another adjustment that I was not aware of Bill said take flat blade screw driver and turn the 3 slotted screw clock wise until water stops then back off 3/4/ turn or more the valve is now ready to use either manually or wire in for automatic use I guess when in doubt the old adage is true defer to the experts The consumer like me will save a lot of time and money they do not need spend
