The Ravenmaster's Secret: Escape from the Tower of London

Awesome Historical Fiction for Young Adults!
Awesome story! It's a bit creepy at the start with some historical realities about the Tower of London but once the story gets going it's really engaging. Leant it to my young friend Madeleine afterwards who flew through it and, upon giving it back said, "That - was a good book!"This book provides a picture of what life was like for both ordinary and more affluent people living in the late Middle Ages in England. It shows respect to different viewpoints of history by including a Scottish perspective upon events and a sprinkling of Scottish words also (glossary included).

NOT TO BE MISSED! Absolutely lovely, entertaining and fun.
Wonderful little book, which -- in a way -- reminded me of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn! Clean, funny, interesting, teaches History without noticing it. It even comes with a map of the Tower of London! HOW MANY BOOKS CAN DO THAT, I ASK? Great for teen-agers and adults alike. Buy it!, Read it!, Lend it!, you won't regret it!. This little book is a gush of fresh air. Margaret N. Lutteral, Esq.

Courage, Friendship, Love, a little British violence, and a lot of history.
Great example of historical fiction. Also, has wonderful boy AND girl protagonists. Some of the adults are very Dumbledore-like (as in Harry Potter). Good story about courage, friendship and love. Protagonist overcomes the bullies. References to beheading at the Tower of London and one person (the villain) dies on his own dagger, but other than that, no other violence.

Great Historical Fiction for young readers
I love this story! As a teacher I read it to several of my classes of fifth graders so this was definitely not my first reading of the story. I'm happy to have a copy of my own to revisit whenever I want to.
