Bohemian Rhapsody: The Official Book of the Movie

If you’re a genuine Queen/Freddie fan then seeing the biopic is pretty much a no brainer. It’s a beautiful movie. If you’ve seen the movie then I highly recommend adding this book to your collection. You get a taste of knowledge on the ACTUAL band members as well as the actors who portrayed these band members. Plus, wisdom of the other cast mates (and who they portrayed in the film). The most beautiful part, for me, is the high quality photos, both set photos from Bohemian Rhapsody and real photos of the band members from back in the day.They picked a stellar cast to portray these characters and especially Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury! See the biopic, read this book! You won’t regret it. 🥰Rest In Peace, Freddie!

What a wonderful surprise to find this book on its expert packaging on my front steps today. Words cannot express how awesome I felt, going through this book, page by page... Because the print is small and my eyes are compromised, I was able to use a magnifying glass to read every single word. Being a fan of Queen, LOVING the movie, this book is the cherry on top of a sundae.The photography is spectacular and the stories leave nothing to the imagination.This book is so much more than a 'coffee table' book and is a 'must have' for those who not only love Queen but also fell in love with the cast who did a fantastic job of portraying Freddy Mercury, John Deacon, Roger Taylor and Brian May. This was more than a 5 star purchase!

The book itself is not very well made. It's not very big, which I realize I could have figured out if I had read the dimensions. But with an original price of $40 I expected it to be larger. The binding feels weak and I don't expect the book to hold up well. The paper feels cheap and the photos inside are not high quality prints. They are not glossy and the colors often feel muddy and lack contrast.The text included is minimal and didn't contain much in the way of new information. I felt I was better served reading in-depth articles about the film and biographies about Queen and Freddie. I would have preferred a similar book in a larger format with high-quality glossy photographs. It's definitely not worth more than the $16 I paid for it. I very much enjoyed the film, in spite of its many inaccuracies (the straightwashing did make me angry, though.) I expected to love the book and was disappointed.This does not affect the number of stars in my rating, but I also received a damaged copy, with shiny marks marring the front cover. It looked like glue or nail polish, but it wasn't sticky.

Great book. Great price. Arrived a month before it was supposed to so my daughter was able to have it Christmas morning.

This was a gift for my husband, a huge Queen fan who has seen the movie twice. He's really enjoying all the extra info, the photos, and interesting tidbits. Beautiful cover!

Lots of good pics from the movie with some comparisons to the original images. Glad to add it to my Queen book collection. Would have liked some more behind the scenes info about the movie, the actors, and more input from Brian & Roger.
