Students loved it!
I am a K-5 school librarian, and used this for an October spooky read for 3rd-5th. The kids LOVED it! I turned the lights off and had the intro on the smartTV, read the chapter like a scary story at a campfire with the flashlight under my chin, then played the video. They begged to do it all month. I had kids stopping me in the hallways and asking if we were doing 3:15 again that week! Perfect for 30 minute classes, just enough time for a good read and checkout! Highly recommend.

Wish I had thought of this. Students LOVE it.
I got this for my 6th grade class as a fun activity to work toward on Fridays. My students LOVED it. Some kids thought it was scary, and some thought the videos were lame, but mostly they asked for it. If you teach figurative language - get this. It's fabulous. I had them find the figurative language in one of the stories. One story, The Lift, I had them find the slang and we discussed how it added to the story and it's meaning. Granted, my administrators hated it and my co-workers turned me in for not teaching directly out of our assigned curriculum, but it took 15 minutes for kids to be interested in school and LOVE class again. Totally worth it to me.I also had my students (as an enrichment) write and produce their own 3:15 stories. (again - busted for not being strictly on assigned curriculum) but the creativity and standards you can hit with such an assignment - plus the excitement in the students - well worth it.

Short, very well written, just the pinch of creepy that tweens-teens will like.
My reluctant reader (daughter) likes these, is a bit scared to read them, but has kept with it for her assigned HW reading. Each has an ending that you go on-line to see in a video, with a password to type in, from the book. There is a free one on-line, so you can read that one, and watch the video-ending. This one is pretty dang creepy, but I like several of the others more so. Each story, even with the video takes less than 15 mins to read. Each has the right amount of angst for its tween-teen characters, and will give yours some of the same. Read about 5 so far. Will be glad when the second book comes out too. I thank the author, a former middle school teacher, who really gets it, as far as what this age group, which has too many reluctant readers and video junkies, needs.

Awesome Read Aloud
My students loved reading this during our October read aloud. We even used it during virtual learning and the videos were a great addition!

Awesome short stories!
I take this book out right around Halloween in my fifth grade classroom and the kids can't get enough of it! Each story takes about 15 minutes to read and watch, and the chilling videos at the end of each short story keeps everyone on the edge of their seats. 3:15 is perfect for emerging readers, group read aloud settings, or anytime you're in the mood for a scare! Check out the 3:15 app as well!

Creepy Gift
I got this for my daughter last year & she loved it. When she finished, she went onto the website, saw all the endings, & went to sleep like a baby. It's meant to be scary, & didn't work at all on her. Probably because she loves scary things. She watches Walking Dead, has seen ALL the Resident Evil movies, & has seen The Shining. They should really make another book.
