Bramble and Maggie: Horse Meets Girl: Candlewick Sparks

My daughter loves horses. Most horse related books are too involved for her. (She's 5.) This series is just right. Brambles personality is amusing. This book demonstrates that animals see things differently then us and have their own personalities. Maggie is a responsible horse owner. These books focus on their relationship. Adorable.

Cute story. My 6 year old one is a horse lover . All the sudden. SO I am trying to find some neat books that talk or tell about a horse.This was a positive purchase. Cute and fun story. Fun to read.

Cute book. Easy read for a first grader. I’m not sure what the story is about, but my daughter seems to be enjoying it!

This was a birthday present for my 7 year old granddaughter and she has read it all the way through by herself. She loved it, and often re=reads it!

This book was for my granddaughter who is just getting started with her love of horses. I read the book first and liked it. My granddaughter loved it. She is hoping to get a horse of her own like Maggie.

Very cute story for a 6 year old girl who loves horses and really enjoys taking riding lessons, just like this little girl.

Bramble and Maggie books are in constant demand with my students. I've bought them all for my office library. They are so much better than the average easy readers.

Unfortunately I didn't notice the reading age of the book which wasn't included in the main description. It is far too young for my horse mad granddaughter who is a very good reader. I know it is far too easy for her which won't impress her. Very suitable for a new reader.

So difficult to find horse stories in this age group. my granddaughter loved it I will be buying more in the series. Need more stories like this for horse mad little girls. Remember Follyfoot and Pat Smythe books from my childhood.

Story and illustrations are lovely but it includes a few American terms like Mom (mum) and Fall (autumn) etc which wasn't clear when I ordered. This was the only disappointing aspect. Hence the 4 stars.

My granddaughter has read all available bramble and Maggie stories She is eagerly awaiting delivery of the latest edition. I'm hoping that there are other adventures in the making for a pony crazy 6 year old who is already is an accomplished and confident rider.

Bought for my 6 year old pony loving girl. Perfect for children ready for reading books with chapters this book is interesting and has great illustrations. Bramble the horse is tired of just walking around the ring all day, so he starts acting up. His owner decides it is time to sell him to just the right family. Maggie has been wanting a horse and she soon sees through Bramble's willful tricks and becomes a perfect partner.
