We are part of a sizable Italian group in our community. I wanted to host dinners using foods from the regions of Italy where friends were from. This book is incredible! The recipes are amazing! The book also has some great reading about the different regions, the foods and the culture! I also purchased a beautiful bookstand to display this book on my kitchen island. They make a beautiful presentation!

It’s a beautiful book, but my copy has a few blank pages at the end of the section on Emilia-Romagna, and the beginning of the Northeast Italy section. I’m not sure if that was intended for some reason. But the book has great photographs and recipes.

Educational, informative, lovely pictures, good recipes. I have a ton of cookbooks and would count this one in the top five.

At least one meal every day is made with the recipe from this book. It's a pleasure to open the cookbook, pick the Italian region I want to explore, and re-create it. I lived in North Italy (Trieste) for nine years and loved their food. So initially, I was a little bit skeptical about Italian cookbooks--especially with such a large collection. Still, this one is so easy to follow with all the authentic recipes. And what I like the most is when a cookbook has a lot of pictures to cover the recipes because let's face it - once you have a visual of the recipe you are ready to tackle - it is easier to ' connect ' with the ingredients and the outcome. Thank you for the truthful collection of beautiful Italian recipes.

I have over 300 cookbooks so I keep only the best. This will go on the top shelf with the favorites! Beautiful photographs, background stories and very delicious recipes...win, win! Mangia!!

Great recipes and stories about each region. Love the photos too. I then purchased Italian specialty food products from amazon to prepare some amazing dishes. This is before giving the book to my husband who is the real chef of the family!

We own both this book and the America’s Test kitchen Italy cookbook and use them both. This one has more recipes but both complement each other. A must have if you love authentic Italian cooking!

So very well laid out. Simple to understand and easy to follow

Classics from all over Italy. Goes way beyond pasta and dive deep into meat, fish and veg dishes. Classic Italian dinner.

Full of very interesting information, well laid out region by region, and all beautifully illustrated. Lots of very well explained recipes. A lot of thought and love has gone into this book. The only problem with it is, that being so thick and printed on very good quality paper, it is too heavy for its binding. So this book needs to handled with caution, because otherwise it will begin falling apart. That said, it is a wonderful book to have and it would also make a handsome gift. Just bear in mind, gentle handling will be necessary from the very beginning, if you want to keep it nice.

Recipes all turn out well. Beautifully illustrated Italian cook book that also gives a lot of information about the different regions in Italy. A very interesting read as well as an excellent recipe book. Bought a copy for my son and will be buying myself a copy too.
