I use it for two months, it’s good.

I’m glad that I purchased two of them. It fits perfectly on the washer door. If it happens to break again, I will have a backup.

Installation is easy and the part works.

Fit our Frigidaire Affinity ATF6000FS1 washer pretty perfectly. Easy to install, too. However after 2-3 loads the top hook broke off. I looked at the material on the break and it's just not the same quality as the original.2 MONTHS LATER: after purchasing almost 10 of those replacement strikers I might be called an expert on washer strikers now. I notice that I have never broken one myself it always breaks when other people run the washer, so it may be that without force these do not break at all. Our washer has an irreparable lose hinge and so the strikers are easy to break by inexperienced operators. In the meantime I bought several other-brand replacement strikers and they broke even faster than this one. I finally broke down and purchased an expensive OEM striker and to my utter amazement the OEM plastic is also inflexible. But when I compare it to the original part that came with the washer the plastice had a little flexiblity without breaking. So I think for some reasons the MFG process even for OEMs switched to a different plastic formula and there is not much to do about it except purchase several of them so you always have a few at home. And treat them gently :).Blue Stars Customer service has been exceptional and they are honored their customer warranty and send us replacement very quickly when the old one broke. So we might be mail buddies until we get a new washer.

If I can do it myself, it must be easy - I'm not what you would call handy. I accidentally rammed my door latch on my 14 year old washing machine, breaking the latch, which needs to be intact so the washer will operate. Given the age of the machine, I considered replacing it, but it still washes just fine so I investigated this part. All you do is unscrew the old one and screw this one on. Easy peasy and saved me about a thousand dollars.

It leaves much to be desired for durability. Honestly this should be a metal part, and if it was offered I'd buy it immediately.If your door is like mine, it doesn't libe up totally straight.. So if you shut it even slightly hard, the brittle plastic will break. I've been through five now.A latch is supposed to be a permanent fixture, not something you change every few months

Hi all!I received a free washing machine (which is awesome) but it was having some issues with it actually starting to wash. It turned out that the door wasn’t fully locking and it turned out to be this piece! I bought this piece because it looked similar but it ended up being the same exact piece I needed! It’s been on the washing machine now for a couple of months and it’s still as good as ever! This latch is made to last! If you need it, I would recommend this one!!

Checked part number required and matched with order. The striker fitted perfectly. Excellent service - delivery prompt and price ( including a spare striker ) very reasonable.
