Helps little ones understand the USN
Loved this for my 2yr old grandson, his big brother is in the Navy and it helped the 2yr old have some idea what my older grandson is doing and where he is. If you ask toddler where his big brother is, he will tell you on his ship and show you the book❤️

Cute Navy themed alphabet book
This book is actually a lot better than I anticipated. I bought it more as a gag than anything (I'm a vet and my husband is still in) but was impressed by the overall look of this book. Though there were a few letters I would have changed personally, I found it to be a nice alphabet book for little kids. However, my daughter is 2 and still tearing through books... This is not a hardcover, so be aware of that before you get it planning to give it to little kids. Also, though it is an alphabet book, any kid who needs practice with what letter is which is going to need help to actually read this book. It isn't exactly your normal kiddie word book.Personally I found it amusing."L is for Liberty. Liberty is like recess!"

A must have for every Navy family!
I love this book! If you have a child that loves all-things Navy (planes, ships, submarines, etc.) then they will love it, too! The pictures are beautiful (paintings done from photographs) and the pages that represent each letter are so clever! Where else can you teach your child the English alphabet, semaphore and the phonetic alphabet (from alpha to zulu) all in one book?It is listed as ages baby to preschool, but because of the cool subject matter, I would not limit it to that age group. All four of our "Navy Brats" thought this book was pretty cool (ages elem. through jr. high). The only thing really "preschool" about it is the fact that it is an alphabet book. That said, I think it would make a fun baby shower gift for the expecting Navy wife, too!

It's a great idea for today's generations. And a great ideal for the place it's take. By Ed C. Belitz

For the kids
It’s a little advanced for the little ones, but as a Navy Vet, it’s fun to have

I tutor a 4th grade boy who expressed an interest in the Navy. This book was a perfect introduction and he loved "solving" the flag message using the alphabet. My son, a 22-year Senior Chief was impressed with the book, too.

My grandson loves this book!!! He just got it today and we have already read it several times. He is really in to military books and toys. He will probably have it memorized within a week at this rate.
