Fit System 99055 Driver Side Mirror Glass, Astro Van, Mid Size, Blazer Full Size, Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade, Full Size Pick-Up, Chevrolet Suburban, Safari Mid Size Van

I have a 2005 Chevy Astro van, I'm not sure if the driver side mirror has been replaced or not, but I did remove the old glass to find the new mirror was not 100% fit in the recess. Having known this I would have left the broken glass and glued it right on top.After removing the plastic bracket and whittling away the edge with a razor knife (lots of fun), the backer bracket no longer had a raised edge and the mirror looks great. Very clear, much more than a similar product I purchased to replace a mirror on a Hyundai Elantra recently.I still give it 5/5 because I love the result. Leave the old glass in there if you can and just stick this on top. The price was right and I am very glad to have a mirror again. Astro vans have huge blind spots, you rely on the mirrors a lot more than you think.

Mirror was easy to install and looks like factory. The image in the mirror is clear and not distorted other than "being closer than appears" as is with all passenger side mirrors.

Like it states, it doesn’t fit properly in a power mirror. I read reviews that said it didn’t, that it did and that it did if you trim the plastic on the mirror. I ended up having to trim the plastic and it fit fine. The price was great and worth the gamble. I would buy one again.

Quality glass, strong adhesion, and an almost flush-fit. On a '98 Chevrolet Tahoe, you can tell it's an aftermarket replacement, but only if you're looking right at it. I can't really complain, though; if I wanted a perfect fit, I shouldn't have busted the original mirror!

This fits well on my 1995 Chevy C2500 Cheyenne - maybe 1/32" off in some spots, or maybe I just didn't line it up exactly perfectly. Vast improvement over the cracked and broken glass that was there before. I cleaned all the broken pieces out first, before putting this on. The double-stick tape is thick enough that if it's not a perfect fit within the rim of plastic, it doesn't matter. Installation tip: The backing paper on one side of the tape has a free edge that is easy to grab; the paper on the other side doesn't. Take off the difficult paper first, stick it to the mirror, and then it's not hard to get the other one off while you're gingerly holding the mirror glass in your hand. Line it up perfectly before you press into place, because once it's stuck, it's not coming off without a fight.We've had this on the truck now for a couple of months, with no problems.

The mirror was too big for our driver's side mirror on our Astro Van. I'm sure the photo does not show the problem. My husband, who is an engineer, was able to stick mounds of tape behind the mirror, in a way that will work for now. However, probably won't stay affixed for long! I would not recommend this mirror. If you read other reviews, you'll see the same problem, but people are making it work and giving the mirror high reviews. It does not deserve a good review, if you have to engineer a solution for it to work. This product needs to be re-designed to work properly!!
