Disappointed
Purchased this item based on the description. On opening the amazon package. Idenfied that the main package was open. When opened pole missing as described in the advert and no fixings.Basically just a plastics frame that is useless.

If you can get one that's not broken its a good panel
First thing to note is that the picture in the listing is not the 1168 Push Up panel. The description is for the 1168 but the picture looks like a hinged version. The 1168 has two twist catches and then pushes up into the opening.I actually wanted the 1168 but if the one in the picture was sent out that would have been usable anyway. There was no pole with it but not a problem for my project. The biggest problem was that the first one was broken and unusable. The box was in poor condition and looked like it had been used before. Mostly stuck down with duct tape. I returned this which was easy enough although the refund took a little while but did come through. After returning the first I immediately ordered a second one and even this one was damaged on arrival. The box was in better condition but not stuck down well. Fortunately the damage was minor and only internal and not affecting the fitting. Its easy to install once you have the opening to the correct size. The only gotcha is that the supplied fixing screws, which are countersunk heads, stand pround because the panel surround isn't countersunk to match. This means the heads can hit on the panel when you try and fit it into the surround. I just used some smaller screws.Good panels but easily damaged in transit.

Not as safe as stated - false advertising
I purchased two of these, and neither of the hatches have locks that work. This doesn't bother me, as I don't share the house with strangers, but if you brought it specifically to be able to lock it, I would look elsewhere. One set of locks not working could be a glitch, but for both not to work must be a design fault.I have had them a while now, and only just got around to using them. I could not find either of the locking poles. I contacted the company and they said you have to buy them separately.... from the same company. So a reasonably priced door has to have a pole (that is advertised with the door) separately - which costs £21 extra! A bit of false advertising to make a door cheaper than competitors that comes with a lock.
