Awesome iron
I also own a TS100 but the TS80 is now my go-to iron simply because it can be run from a USB-QC powerbank.Out of the box, this doesn't work with USB-PD but by buying a 12V PD trigger and a USB-C plug can be made to do so.I run mine from a 12V power-tool battery which turns it in to a 25W iron. Much faster heat up time than from the 9V QC.

Sadly disappointing, I hope I have a one off faulty unit
On Opening the box, I was greeted with a small iron, smaller than expected, but I was happy with that. From various you-tube reviews I was expecting a high quality USB-C silicone cable. But I don't think the supplied one lives up to that standard. On power up I was met with a constant sen-error. Power cycled the iron but nothing. Finally got some life out of it, however I then found that the "up button" doesn't work so couldn't increase the temperature or get into the settings. Sadly i'm left with no choice but to return the item.

Simply the best
Got this soldering iron a while ago and have since found any excuse I can to use it it's that much of a joy to use.The USB C wire that comes with it could be better (but we're not really here for the cable are we?)It heats up quickly the tip is high quality and the little stand/cleaner is great too!Cannot recommend this iron enough as it is in my opinion one of the best on the market

Best go to soldering iron
Open source software is available with a few more adjustments available and most importantly will allow it to be used with a bog standard USB power pack for a fully portable soldering solution. Works really well, light and easy to use. Recommended.

Doesn't come with flexible silicone USB cable, useless
I do not recommend buying this as the usb cable is rigid, hard to use and not heat resistant. Way to expensive for what you get. You can do better, cheaper

Feels that somewhere you got tricked.
It is indeed unique in the market. But for the price you want a damn case, SOME instructions, a high quality flexible cable, and more tips...

Great product, not the best package from seller.
These irons, in most online reviews, ship with a fit-for-purpose silicone USB-c cable.This one came with a 50cm (too short) Ugreen phone charging cable... Which is just cheaping out in the extreme.
