Gardex LS-1000 Garden Leaf, Yellow

I heard about these and had to give them a try. They work even better than I had expected. They make much easier work for scooping up leaves or grass or whatever yard waste you are working with. I use them for scooping up leaves that I have raked. They make that part of the job so much easier. Before I would rake the leaves into a pile and then use the rake to scoop the leaves. The rake would be cumbersome and awkward, These scoops are so easy to use, not at all awkward or cumbersome. The job goes faster and more smoothly. My 9 year old son can use these as well well. You can slip your hands into the handle and scoop away. They can be tucked away in a corner of your garage without taking up too much room. The price is excellent as well and I love the bright yellow color. I would absolutely recommend these, will also purchase them as a gift and if I ever needed to, I would purchase them again in a heartbeat!

These scoops are great! They are of good quality, but not super heavy material, so we will have to see how they hold up. So far, they have worked very well. They are large enough to help make the garden and yard clean ups more efficient. Color makes them easy to find. They are comfortable to use, even with larger hands. We will report back over time, since we have had only a few months and have used the about a dozen times to date. We use them to pick up leaves and other yard and garden waste, and they are sturdy enough for that. Since we have a lot of crushed granite in our yard here in Arizona, it helps us get the waste without picking up the rocks, too. This reduces our need to replace the rock since we throwing them in the waste barrel. We keep them in a storage shed, so we don't yet know if they will hold up to UV light- a lot of plastics here in Arizona break down quickly if not kept out of the sunlight. We don't compost much, but these might be good for mixing compost if it is not too heavy.

The Gardex Leaf Scoops are one of those items that make regular, every day chores, much more convenient. Such a simple invention that makes picking up leaves faster, easier and even kinda fun. I simply rake the leaves into a pile and from that pile use the leaf scoops to add a whole bunch of leaves onto compost bin as needed. What I did before was either a shovel or rake into bucket them into compost. With the leaf scoops it is faster and easier than either of those.Leaves, by the way, are amazing for compost! leaves, like manure, compost all by themselves and help to really get your compost pile hot and cooking!The leaf scoops are of high quality and a nice, bright color. Great price as well (I paid $7.59 for a set of two).NOTE: The "Single" option is a set of two scoops.

It’s my go to when taking leaves. Makes the picking up faster. Very durable and easy to use

I was initially skeptical of these when looking at this product. However, after using this product, I am very happy with the purchase. I am using these primarily for picking up piles of leaves, compost, or other yard trash. I can either bag easier or simply move the material to provide mulch for my yard.I find these are well constructed and thought out. These are my reasons:(1) Yellow color. Won't be easily lost in a pile of leaves or your yard.(2) Size is right. Perfect for scoop to deposit in yard bags.(3) Grips are perfect for me. At first, I thought they were a little loose for my size, but since I normally wear garden gloves during my work, the size is perfect and fits snugly for use with my gloves. Consider this a plus.(4) There is a small hole in the top of the scoops which makes hanging them up in my utility room easy.(5) Rake like scoops on the bottom help with raking up the pile for pickup.Some reviewers complain that they would like them to have a handle so they wouldn't have to stoop over. Personally, I would find a handle to be a nuisance and in the way. I use a rake first and then clean up with these. I think trying to tightly grip these together by using a short handle would not work very well.

I have only one tree that drops all of its leaves in January. While this may not be much compared to people who have lots of trees, it's still work that has to be done - just on a smaller scale. These scoops are very very handy - they are light and pick up a lot of leaves in one fast scoop. I like handy tools like this - simple and not complicated but they do the job. So when the last leaves have been swept up, this will go back into the shed until next January. But I'm thinking that this might also work on picking up cuttings from bushes --- like those nasty bougainvillea cuttings. So maybe it won't be in the shed for a year, after all.

I have used these multiple times; every Fall for many years. They scoop up a lot of leaves/acorns/gumballs/sticks, are a bright enough color not to LOSE, and fit both mine and my husband’s hands.They’re even the perfect size to easily fit over the 30-45 gal. Bag Buddy bag support device (or any 30+ gallon trash container) …allowing for accurate disposal of debris into the bag without it falling back onto the ground.They’re sturdy but flexible, and the curve on the sides makes them easy to maneuver.The ‘teeth’ can also be used to rake acorns/gumballs onto the other scoop.I have purchased several sets for friends and family — they all have the same positive comments on these extra sets of hands!

These worked so well I bought another set for my father-in-law for a gift. So much easier and faster than just using your hands and you can pick up a large batch of leaves with these. Using them for leaves or mower clippings or shrub trimmings, these are incredebly helpful. They aren't really designed or made for use with limbs...they just aren't made out of super sturdy plastic for heavy lifting. Sometimes I slip my hands thru the handles and sometimes I hang onto the handles. Either way it's like they are an extension of my hands. Wish I had known about these years ago!
