Perfect for sugar gliders!
This cage is exactly what I needed for my 2 sugar gliders! Their old cage started to rust, so I needed to find something to replace it. I had originally ordered the same type of cage as their old one, but the replacement had lots of sharp parts and broken pieces, so I had to try something new. I looked at the DCN, but the complaints I read about weight and assembly steered me away. I came across this cage, and it was exactly what I needed (for a better price, too.) This was really easy to put together (I did so alone in less than an hour.) All of the pieces were in perfect condition (no sharp pieces, broken bits, or rust), and each part fit as it was supposed to. It moves really easily on wheels, which will really come in handy when it's time to clean the cage.I did not use the platforms (since gliders need more open space to jump around and play), so I can't speak for those or how easy they are to put in.I really love how big the doors are! My old cage had very small openings, which made cleaning and adding toys rather difficult. This new cage allows for so much more! I love it! ♡I've included a few pictures; 1 of my two glider babies, 1 of the cage with the doors open, and 1 to show the differences between my old cage and this one.**** UPDATE (03-15-19): ****The cage is still holding up really well! There is no rust or chips in the coating, nothing has broken, and my girls have plenty of room to play! I love it! :)In terms of deep cleaning, I found it was lot easier to take the cage apart, clean each piece individually, dry everything with a towel, and then reassemble the cage. It's too big to fit in a bathtub while the cage is still put together. It doesn't take too long to clean this way, either.I've included more pictures. I thought I saw someone ask about the size of the platforms (for craft purposes), so I measured the one I kept and took some photos. I'll add more pictures once I find the remaining platforms. (They're packed away right now.) I labeled the pictures to show close-ups of the measurements. The labels have nothing else to do with the cage parts. If you plan to attach a wheel to the cage, make sure you zip-tie the legs of the wheel's mount to the cage bars. Pull the zip-ties tight enough that the wheel stays in place, but do not pull TOO tight or else the bars may bend towards each other. I've moved the wheel all over the cage, and it's held up no matter where I put it! My wheel has the "X-mount" on the back, so I'm not sure how steady other mounts would be if attached this way (I would still recommend the zip-ties, though.)

High quality , looks great!
Just received this today. My husband and I put it together in about an hour with minimal effort, virtually no tools needed except the two small wrenches provided. Excellent quality, no sharp edges. We put our chinchilla in it and she is already loving it, using the ladders, using the different levels. Love the two large doors, easy to clean. Love that it is made in the USA. Ordering another one right now for our other chinchilla. Easily a 5 star product.

LOVE this cage!
I absolutely LOVE this cage. I bought the first one at a local pet store, and have since ordered 2 more off of Amazon.I run a rattery, and so being able to maintain a cage is a big deal to me. This cage opens up nicely in the front, on both the upper and lower levels. It’s got locking doors that are easy for humans to open from the outside, but critter proof from the inside. The shelves can be moved into other configurations than what is shown here (I just happen to like them best in this configuration!), and they are made out of plastic. The texture is not slick, but the little bit of grippy texture on them isn’t too aggressive, making it very easy to keep clean. The shelves aren’t deep enough to really hold much bedding, but I’ve just added appropriately-sized storage containers to give my rats something to sleep in, if they don’t feel like going to the hammocks. The one drawback in my opinion is that you can’t easily hang hammocks or other hanging things from the bottom of the shelves. This isn’t a huge issue for me, since I’ve just attached baskets to the walls of the cage underneath the shelves and that seems to work.I HIGHLY recommend this cage. It is comparable in size to a Double Critter Nation setup, and quite a bit lower in price if you’re buying new. I actually prefer this cage, but I think that’s just a matter of personal preference. :)Either way, you can’t go wrong! This cage is spacious, easily assembled, easily maintained, and a very nice home for any mischief (or other small critter colony)!

Fantastic Product
I have Rats and this is the best cage I have ever owned. They love to climb so the size is perfect for them to play with each other and run around. I have added a PVC pipe for tunnels and other accessories which make it a constant playground. They snuggle together in their hideaways and have room to burrow under blankets. Giving four stars because the bottom ramp is almost vertical when clicked onto the platform and I had to stuff two fleece blankets under it to make it easier to climb. This was literally the only issue with this cage.

Extra bedding is important
I like how the cage is huge a spacious for my Chinchilla, however I wish that the bottom level didn't have the stripe metal. Her tummy area got yellow because when she goes to the bathroom there's no contact with the bedding to soak it instantly. It soaks on to her fur instead. I love how it came with a little crib, she sleeps in that instead or her favorite wood house.UPDATE!!I got new chinchillas, young. They literally ate at the plastic divider (level 3 floor) and made a gigantic hole, while standing on the second floor level. Not good for chinchillas, they will ruin the plastic.

Almost perfect Cage for small rodents.
** Update**I have been using this cage for about 6 months now, some issues I have found.1) The bars are really flimsy, and have detached in multiple places.2) Because it has primarily vertical bars, it can be hard to do an interesting layout, that is secure.3) it is not as well made as the cages that have the outside framing.I still like it, but I think I would have got something cheap, and then waited for a Critter Nation to be on sale.***I decided on this cage vs the 485 as I liked the smaller spacing of the bars. It arrived within 2 days and I was so happy as I was up for adoption of a few girl rats.Had them for a bit over a week now and they're just loving it. One complaint? The bottom is grated instead of smooth, which isn't good for their feet, and it means you need a box for bedding. It feels a bit flimsy but it's holding up well.

This Cage Has Been Great :)
I've used this cage for a year now and I have several ratties who have been very happy in it!- I found the initial assembly easy (I did this with one other person)- I occasionally disassemble for a very deep clean & that's also not an issue- It came in great shape, it's still in great shape- You can change the layout of the plastic levels inside it or remove them all for a more active layoutThe only con for me is actually cleaning the plastic levels which is why I'm opting for taking most of them out for a more active layout.Overall, I really like this thing and so do my pet rats. The quality hasn't decreased in an entire year, for the price I purchased at I am very happy with it. The next step up from this one would be an actual Critter Nation (I can attest to the quality of those being INSANE) if you're willing to spend the money.
