Talking Tins have been designed to help people with a visual impairment identify the contents of their tinned food and other household items. Identifying different objects of a similar shape has always been difficult for the visually impaired who want to stay independent. The frustrating problem is now solved by using a re-recordable voice message to tell you what the item is. This product comes in the form of a magnetic cap that sits on top of any steel can. The cap allows you to record a short voice message, which can be played back at any time with the touch of a button. The cap can also help you identify many other household items. Our special accessories allow the cap to attach to other objects such as Bottles, Sprays and Storage containers with additional accessories. Pack of 3

For the visually impaired this is the best thing since sliced bread/bottled vodka to use on canned goods
Ok these things are great, easy to use and easy to record. My blind friend has a pen that you can wave over a little "dot" and it will tell her what it is but that requires rubber bands around the canned goods and dealing with the tags that you need to use. These sit on top of the can are easy to record into and easy for her to push a single button and know what it is in it. They stick to the can magnetically. If you have a blind friend or family member I couldn't recommend these any more than I already have. I don't know how long the battery will last but I will cross that bridge when I have to; for now I love these things. I'll buy 3 more for her soon to go along with the 6 she has. Now if I could get something that would stick to a bag of sugar, flour, a bottled product or a plastic container I'd really be happy and she would be too..
