After having my phone fall out of another holder (plastic) going about 20mph and hitting a small bump, I was determined to find something more sturdy. Once mounted this thing is going nowhere! It mounts to the handle bar stem and becomes part of the bike. I like this design better than the one that mounts to the handlebar. A few things to point out: - there is no lateral adjustment to the cradle which means your phone will not be centered with your bike - not a big issue for me and only a nice to have. Closer to center than any of the ones that mount to the handlebars. - phone is secured by side only - some want arms to secure the phone on the bottom as well but I like that it’s only on the side, it allows me to slide the phone down further. - securing arms are short and not adjustable vertically, my iPhone XR in a slim case fits fine but I can see if you have a thick phone and/or case that this mount would not work for you. - phone has to sit portrait - no rotation, so would be a no-go for those wanting landscape. Well worth the extra few bucks over those plastic holders. This one will last as long as the bike. Review: The claw arms are way too short - The claw arms are too short! It does a p!ss-poor job of clamping onto a phone with a protective TPU rubber case. If I take the case off the phone then this holder will grip the phone somewhat decently, but why the hell would I take the chance of the phone falling out of the holder while biking without a case???

I have two and they are both great
It is mounted on my LEVO Comp mountain bike. Holds my Google Pixel 3a phone. Securely. Very securely. I ride off road, chunky, rocky downhill trails in southern Arizona. Big drops. Big rocks. I have never had the phone launch out of the holder and end up on the trail. It holds the phone securely without any damage to the phone ..... it is in a case but still. Well made. Everything works nicely. Parts and pieces appear to be well machined. Would absolutely recommend this holder.
