It turned out to be completely non-functional for me to connect my DVD player's HDMI to HD TV RCA red-yellow-white input. . When I finally completely disconnected it after a long vacation away, I noticed that the wire coverings are red, green, and blue and do not match the red, yellow, white of 3 RCA males. I therefore do not know if it is a component video cable for the red, green, and blue inputs on the HD TV or for the RCA red, yellow, white. Connection to the red, green, and blue also did not work. (My HD TV is perhaps too old; it is a Panasonic TC32 LX60 which I purchased over nine years ago.)
