Great Visual Help for Coaches
Great visual assistance to show the athletes. Didn't show photos of every sequence so we couldn't give it a 5-star rating but it's still a great tool for any coach, instructor and parent to be able to provide another visual example for the athletes when needed.

Thoughtful
This book sheds some light on how a pitcher can have individuality. Too many youth coaches try to make kids into machines, not truly understanding what is necessary for consistent pitching. this book helps to change that.

Disappointed
Disappointed in the book. The value is not there. Certainly not youth centered when it comes to pitching in the way it is laid out or organized. More for an older teen and by then they already know these basics. This book covers such things as opposites and even and closing off the front but that is about it. Read it in one 30 minute sitting and I was left feeling a little robbed. I will continue my search for a good youth pitching book elsewhere. There is nothing on grips or different pitches. Really wondering if I got the shirt cliff notes version and where is the rest if the book...

Needs better illustrations and details
I was expecting more details and better illustrations. Not what I was expecting from Tom House

The best book on pitching mechanics ever
If you were only to invest in only one book on pitching mechanics this would have to be it. It is a perfect balance of hi-tech computer based biomechanical research and utter simplicity. Rather than blind you with science, you get visual illustrations of what you need to do to achieve perfect mechanics. Each carefully chosen picture is worth a thousand words.I have no higher praise of this book, which balances complexity with simplicity, and explodes countless pitching mechanic myths perpetuated like old wive's tales by countless generations of coaches.I thought I had seen and heard it all when it comes to coaching ideas on pitching mechanics (including biomechanics-research based stuff from both America and Japan) but this book was simply a revelation in the way it condensed extraordinarily complex biomechanical concepts into little take-home nutshells of wisdom. This one is a MUST!!!
