Did Not Finish
Interesting book. I did not finish it though. It gave me insight on a world I did not existed. Would not recommend or not not recommend.

Excellent read on the impact of IVF on race in Latin American countries
I was lucky enough to read this book before it was published for a Masters level public health course and felt Roberts did an excellent job interweaving the anthropological aspects of the book with scientific data on the impact of IVF in Ecuador. Roberts' discussion of race was both eye opening and telling of the racial structures we are recreating with the influx of modern technology in the developing world. For anyone interested in the intersections of race, gender, and science, this book provides amazing insight into a topic that is likely to have more of an impact on lives of individuals not only in the developing world but throughout the globe.
