Great toothbrush, you will get used to wooded feeling
Here is my honest review!Well, for starters, the bristles are very soft and not as close together as a regular plastic toothbrush. Which in part is good because I have extremely sensitive gums. Overall, the bristles seem to get the job done by providing a through clean feeling. Even when it comes to cleaning the tongue. The pack came with 8 brushes total, all charcoal infused. I’m still unsure of the charcoal purpose. To my understanding, it’s cleaning agents and properties have been a myth so far. Anyway, back to the packaging, it is made with 100% recycled paper and cardboard material which gives you a guilt and waste free sense of fulfillment. However if you’re choosing this item due to its environmental impact and soft footprint on the earth, maybe don’t order online. Transport and delivery of such item to a residential area maximizes the carbon footprint.Back to the item itself, the handle is made 100% of wood. I’m not sure what time of wood this is, certainly doesn’t feel Like bamboo. The handle ire self has a rough, uncomfortable feeling that I’m sure will take some time to adjust to as well as the back part of the brush that goes into your mouth. Having that piece rubbing on the inside of my cheeks wasn’t a very pleasant experience. All in all, I give this item 4 stars out of 5, I believe the wooden part could be smoothed out significantly to be made more user friendly however it does not hinder the efficiency of the product.

Very well made and absolutely worth it!
These toothbrushes remind me slightly of the ones that my parents used to get when I was a kid (almost 5 years ago). And not in a bad way. The bristles are soft, but (any my only "complaint") they almost feel like they'r sharp on the end. They don't bother my gums in the least, and seem to clean my teeth quite well. I love that they are renewable, and I'm not having to toss more plastic in a landfill when I replace my toothbrush. Thanks for making an awesome product! Would like to see the bristles slightly rounded on the ends, instead of pointed, but that's a minor issue. Will definitely be re-ordering when I get through these...

Finally: a bamboo toothbrush which doesn't shed bristles!
I've been through a few brands of bamboo toothbrush, and have had the same problem with all of them: they lose bristles. This is the first brand of bamboo toothbrush which has not done that to me; I've been using the same brush for over a month, and have not lost a single bristle. I also like how the bristles feel; they feel more substantial, which isn't to say they are not soft (they are soft) but I think the bristle density might be a little higher than previous bamboo brushes. My only complaint is that the flat handle feels odd after years of using contoured toothbrushes, but I'm willing to deal with that small amount of discomfort for what is otherwise a great toothbrush. Here's hoping that "Kooler Things" upgrades to a contoured handle in the future; they would then have the perfect bamboo toothbrush.

Great toothbrush, great choice!
This is a wonderful product. The bristles are comfortable on my gums and do a good job cleaning my teeth, the bamboo is shaped nicely to give a good experience brushing. But also, when you realize that you’ve been brushing your teeth with plastic brushes for your whole life and that every toothbrush you have ever used is still sitting somewhere in a landfill and will still be there in a thousand years— long after your great great grandkids are long passed. It’s insane to realize that no matter how hard our generation tries to achieve greatness, our legacy is fixed in the history books as the garbage era— instead of great pyramids, we are leaving great garbage heaps. Small changes can make big impacts, like switching to a tooth brush that will biodegrade.

Very happy with my purchase
There are a lot of reviews about bristles falling out or the wood splintering and hurting, BUTI have not had any of these issues. I bought late December 2018 and it is now April 2nd. I just switched myself and the two kids (9+6) to new brushes. I felt like it was time based on how poorly my kids care for their things, and less because it was needed. They have not complained, and the brushes did not even look that bad. I use a toothpaste that really builds up on the bristles, however, these brushes were much easier to maintain in that regard and did NOT build up like my old plastic ones! (The kids had more build up but they don’t rinse the brush well. Still was not bad.)I really fell in love with using these. They feel much better than plastic ones, and I realpy just overall prefer them at this point! The first use is a little weird, cause it is wood, but after a few uses, it improves and you don’t even notice, so give it a good try and use a few times before making a full judgement.I still have 2 brushes left, and will definitely order more in about 3-4 months when we will be closer to switching out again.I do wish there was an easier way to tell between the brushes than the small hard to read number. I plan on using some 100% cotton yarn and tying a bit around the handle, different colors for each of us.Highly recommend these!
