I am sorry I cannot answer you because mine hasn't arrived yet even though I ordered a couple of weeks ago ( mid November's) it is not expected until 19th December. Amazon sent an email to tell me it had been despatched.

The head is definitely not interchangeable,,But the flash window is relatively small at 34mm long by 10mm wide
