Mallard Dead Fowl

My English Lab like many other English Labs is not a real fan of retrieving. And if he is going to play with a toy, this is not the toy he will choose. That said this is a great item, solidly built and looks great, excellent size and would likely be great for an American Lab or Golden Retriever. I am really bummed that my Lab is not interested in it.

The media could not be loaded.  My dog is obsessed with water and fetch and after destroying my niece’s volleyball, I decided to get him a durable pool toy he can retrieve over and over again. I was afraid the full size might be too big for him (he’s a 35lb Aussiedoodle) but it’s perfect. I don’t let him chew it up but if I don’t pay attention for a minute and throw it for him he chews on it a little bit. It’s held up very well after constant use over the last month and a half. There’s quite a few small puncture holes in the body and it absorbs a little water but still floats perfectly. When it gets a little heavy I just step on it to ring some water out. I’ll update when it’s time for a new Dokken but I think it’s going to be a while. This thing is made to last but is not meant for destructive pets who just want to chew and annihilate. My other dog would destroy it if he got the chance. Anyway top quality product 10/10!!!

My Dutch Shepherd loves this duck decoy. Gives her a great workout. Has the weight & feel of a real dead duck.

I've had several of these in a couple of designs. My lab can't get enough of them. My only complaint is that they're a little too porous. They absorb water and get really heavy. It might make more sense to use some sort of solid core and encase it in the foam to limit the amount of water that can be accommodated.

This duck got my weimaraner to retrieve in the water. He wasn't interested in swimming....and only somewhat concerned about his bumper when it hit the water. But this duck got his attention much better than the other things we had tried. It was a gradual growth until this thing came out. Suddenly, he could retrieve and swim pretty well. It's big in his mostly-mature sized mouth, but that doesn't seem to matter to him. He got this at 10 months old. I wouldn't let him have this without a job and supervision....I think he'd make short work of the floating rubbery material. he already made his mark on one of the duck feet (and that took mere seconds).

He loved it, but after injecting tiny amount of scent, he's nuts over it! Thought it might be too big, but no... seen as reward.Fairly durable.. Should come w scent on the side!
