Schmidt Bros. Black Downtown Magnetic Knife Block, Ebony Stained Red Oak Schmidt-22-Series, Up to 18-Piece

I purchased mine at Crate & Barrel. That’s where the hood ones are. Unfortunately, the real world example vs. the photos in the description are completely different. Almost appears to be different wood all together. You can see my cutting board more closely matches the photo description and in contrast to the block — it’s much different.I returned hoping to get a block that matches the photo, so, we will see.Ultimately, the actual block was mounted crooked on the base. Off by about a quarter of an inch and clearly, I received a return as the tape that closes the box was broken by being peeled multiple times.

Sturdy, safe place for knives especially with two toddlers.

Had this for about a month. Really shows off the knives, and takes up less room than a "block". Got it pushed up next to the wall on the counter, and when I need it you just pull it out and pick the knife. My problem with a Block was knowing which knife I wanted. This unit makes it easy because you can see them before you pull one out.

All of the coating has started to chip off of my concrete block. I loved this block, but I am very disappointed that this is happening.

This is ideal to save space and keep knives from being slid into a bacteria ridden wood block. Holds knives perfect. I've. bought two.

This block looks nice and is quite sturdy. Unfortunately however, it arrived with a very large, deep, and noticeable scratch on the side. I tried to seek a replacement but there were no others available, so my only options were to get a refund or keep the scratched item. I chose to keep the scratched one because, even with the unsightly scratch, it’s still nice. Plus, I can “hide” the scratch by turning the block a certain way.

Gifted this and it was well received. holds up to 10 knives.

Better protection than my old wall mounted magnet holder. And I do enjoy displaying some my favorate knives.
