febi bilstein 46604 Vent Valve for crankcase, with gasket, pack of one

My Mk5 Golf GTI was making an occasional squealing noise, replaced the fan belt to no avail. So after a lot of research it sounded like it was the PCV. This matches the latest revision of the OEM part number so I ordered it. Fitting was very straightforward and the included gasket was a perfect fit and the valve itself bolted straight in place. Reattached the two hoses and no more noise, early days but I’m hopeful this is the fix.Can’t really comment on the longevity of the part but pleased with the purchase.

This PCV valve fixed my engine management light on my golf gti. I was also getting a very high pitched sound from the engine when it warmed up and when the engine was idling. Since fixing this part, my engine light has gone off, the high pitched sound is gone, the engine is running much more smoothly and I'm getting around 4 mpg more than I did previously.

This PCV stopped working less than 2 weeks into fitting, leaving me searching for a further/different issue with the car when it was this all along… not good, I guess that is why people recommend the genuine part instead of pattern for this part

I fitted the valve ok all seemed fine. Started the engine and the lean running MIL condition continued. Spent countless hours chasing the fault and changing other parts to then realise this new valve was faulty. Bought a different valve replaced this faulty valve and all is well with the car again. Waste of money and a lot of wasted time. Lesson learned!

Perfect fit like the original and solved the pcv problem we had at a good price too

Purchased in June 2021, failed April 2022. Avoid and go and direct to a real parts dealer.
