Ethan
Now, here, after just finishing Book 5 in this series, I am greatly appreciative of Chris Keniston's writing! Ethan actually finds love almost dropped in his lap. Recouping from a 'hard landing' as a fighter pilot, he finds he is a father. His little girl, Brittany, has a mother (Fancy) that just wasn't good for her. In comes Fancy's sister, Allison. The grey wolf type dog enters, he is the matchmaker. I love that this dog is in every book in this series! You will have romance, love, family values, and intrigue as you read this story. It was hard to put down!

I liked it better than I expected to.
The dog thing is weird. And, the circumstances of the MMC/FMC before they came to know each other...and then during...it's icky, IMO.And, I'm still thinking the GIANT FONT of the author's name on every chapter is...odd. I'm pretty sure it's self published. Hubris? Annoying bit of advertising? Very bad advice? No idea what the author could be thinking. Also, Ethan is a character that is mentioned in previous books, but you don't get a chance to form any attachment, so I was less interested going in. Definitely the "weak sister" of the series for me.

Family makes it work
Ethan loved his job flying soldiers to and back from missions that could be deadly, but could save lives. When his plane is shot down he lands it on the side of the mountain but he is the most seriously injured.Coming home to recuperate he learns that a weekend pickup resulted in a daughter he didn’t know about. This is the story of how he turns from hot shot pilot to Mr. Dad, and finds himself falling for his daughter’s aunt, a surgeon who is sure he couldn’t possibly take proper care of an infant.Another in the series of the Farraday brothers and how each of them could love and a way of life near the family ranch.

Not as impressed
I read the books out of order.( I know, shame on me) I was really hoping Ethan's story was going to be as good as Adams... I was disappointed. Ethan and Allison's story wasn't very convincing. There were a lot of holes and unanswered questions. Yes, I get that it's a short story and I can't get all my wants fulfilled, but more Fancy drama would have been nice. As a reader, I didn't feel their connection of friendship let alone lovers. I wanted more and felt like it just wasn't there.

Book Five in the Series Does Not Disappoint!
The books in the Farraday Country series are the first of Chris Keniston's books I've read and I've enjoyed all five of them so far. I enjoy reading series' where characters in one book get their own stories in future books (as opposed to having the same main characters move through the books in a series) . I feel like you can really get to know the characters as they evolve through the stories. I enjoy reading about this big family and how the newest members of the family (those marrying into it) are welcomed and accepted and become just as much a part of the family as those born into it.In this book, we are given insight into Ethan's life in the military. Unlike his brothers who are still in town or who have moved back, Ethan's career choice has kept him away from his family for long stretches of time. I was very interested in how he would reconcile his desire to serve his country and help others with his new responsibility and appreciated how the story resolved. I am looking forward to the next books in the series and of course, I can't help but wonder how much more we'll learn about the dog.as well as other characters who have made appearances in this and earlier stories. I have guesses about other characters and their potential plotlines or how their relationships may grow, and I look forward to reading to find out if I'm right.(not that I want the series to end, though - maybe more family members will find their way back to Farraday Country).I enjoy the author's style of writing and often found myself smiling or laughing while reading. She has clearly taken care to check both grammar and spelling which I appreciate - errors can be so distracting from the book.As one other reviewer wrote, this is a family that I would enjoy meeting in person. Thanks, Chris Keniston, for another great read! I look forward to future stories about the residents of Tuckers Bluff, TX.

Another great book!!
After reading the previous book in the series (Declan), I was a bit concerned about reading Ethan since it felt like he is no a likable character (with a girl in every port as it portrayed). I am glad to say that I was proved wrong. Ethan now ranks second best from all of the Farraday's books (so far). I loved the way Chris Keniston managed to make him a strong character but also a compassionate one. his reaction to his daughter was heartwarming. I also enjoyed his reaction and his relationship with Allison. I loved how perfect she is for Ethan without losing herself compared to him. in general, it felt like I'm coming back home myself to Tuckers Bluff, familiar place with all the secondary characters making the romance much better and fun to read.

This series gets better, and better with each story.
I'm so hooked on this series and will be very sad when it ends. Mainly because all of these people have become like family to me. Eyhan's reaction to his daughter was heartwarming; he was so made to be a loving, protective father. I love the slow building relationship between Allison and Ethan--- and even though there's not any graphic sex scenes-- you could just feel the sparks flying between the two, whenever they were together. The dog keeps me more than entertained, but it's the aunt and her cronnies that make me laugh the hardest of all. It's also very nice that we always get to catch up with all the people in the past books; sort of gives us a chance to see what they're up to since we left them last, and I totally love that about this series..Can hardly wait to read Finn's story now....but at the end of this story it mentions Grace is getting her own story, to, but I didn't see anything about it on the author's page. I guess I'll just keep me eyes open to see if it pops up after Finn's story hits the stands.

Unfinished business with Peanut and Fancy
Oh a Fly boy. Ethan is getting some bad press here. A military pilot he is known for working hard and playing hard but on one occasion he manages to produce a baby girl and she's been abandoned by her wayward mum. Thankfully big brother DJ is led to where the baby has been left by guess who ( the dog). Ethan's world comes to a screeching halt when he and his crew suffer a hard landing ( they don't say crash). Not only do they have to collect him and bring him home but they have to inform him of his new daddy status. Along the way he is introduced to his daughter with whom he has an instant bond only then to fear that the baby's auntie might want to lay claim to her. Ethan instantly knows he can't let either of them go. So it may be up to the dog to assist or maybe tricky card playing aunt Eileen will help. Brilliant plot
