Color Conserve Shampoo by Aveda for Unisex - 8.5 oz Shampoo

Doesn't smell too strong and makes my hair feel nice. Wish it was easier to get in bigger bottles though.

I just love this shampoo. I first used it because I started going to an Aveda Salon or my hair cutting and color. I wasn't sure I would like this because I do get a dermatitis on my scalp that has caused severe itching and flaking and buildup. I have been using a medicinal shampoo for several years but it can really but a strain on my hair being strong. But i decided to try this since when I car home from the hair dresser my hair was feeling so nice. So i have been using this shampoo for 6 months. Now it might not be like this for everyone but for me I have not had to use my medicine shampoo once since I started using this Aveda Color Shampoo. I have not had the buildup and not had episodes of itching. My hair is looking better than it has in years. It may be a combination of the Aveda Hair color my stylist uses and this shampoo but my hair is shiny and soft. I am amazed because i am 67 years old and frankly never had shiny soft hair before. It was baby fine and pretty much boring hair. In the past 6 months I have had several people stop and ask not only about the color but because of the shine! Keeping this in mind that I no longer have to use that strong, expensive, harsh medicine shampoo then this shampoo is worth a lot to me. I also use a small amount of the conditioner as well, but not much. Wouldn't trade this shampoo for anything now.

This is a great shampoo for helping preserve my colored hair to keep the greys from showing through. My hair is dark brown. This shampoo works better than other brands I’ve tried for helping the color stay and not get that washed out look!! It also gives my hair a soft feeling when combined with the conditioner. However, one draw back it’s expensive.

My hairdresser has always uses Aveda products on my hair. When I ran out of the shampoo the first time, I decided to check on Amazon to see if they had the product. I've loved this product for years. The only reason I gave it 4 stars this time was due to the packaging of the product. The shampoo bottle 'exploded' where the cap is, so part of the shampoo was already spilling out through the plastic wrap. The bottle was wrapped with the plastic wrap going from top to bottom only. It was not secured at the sides, especially if the box was dropped or maybe just the product exploding for some reason. I cleaned the mess but would appreciate receiving a bottle next time where there is no leakage.

I’ve been using this shampoo for years and it’s the best. However it’s very expensive but I think it’s worth the price if you can afford it. A bottle lasts me for about six months.

Always looking for this product since Avada took it out of their collection. Their new shampoos do not work as well for fine treated hair!

I am an Aveda customer since many years and for good reason.Since I now color my hair, I am using the appropriate shampoo. One does not have to use a lot to lather (my hair is shoulder length). Though the product is pricey a bottle of shampoo lasts a long time!This shampoo is excellent! It never irritates my scalp and protects my hair and color well.
