Wolves of the Beyond 6, Star Wolf; by Samantha
I loved this book. It isn't as slow as the last one which mopes around and gets no where. More happens and I finished this in four hours. Ok last one, here it goes: WARNING, THE FOLLOWING INCLUDES SPOILERS!!!!!!!Faolan, Edme, Whistler, Mharie, Dearla, Gwynneth, Toby, Burney, Muadie, Banja, Mrry, Caila, and Abban are back, traveling across a vast ice bridge. Abbon slips off the edge and sinks. Narwhals save him. When he comes back, he talks in riddles and is wiser. Faolan believes he is Cag mag. Abbon has simply learned about a lead narwhal named Old Tooth. The group meets up with eagles and puffins who they befriend. The puffins catch them fish and the eagles keep a lookout. The group is aware that Heep is following them, but don't worry too much. Old Tooth guides the wolves from the ocean. But what the group doesn't know, is that Heep is on their tracks. Heep steals Abbon and the group goes after him and attacks. Abban escapes and was taunting Heep. When Heep dove after him Caila bit his tail and pulled it off. RRRIIIIIPPPPP. Γ. Heep goes crazy and kills Banja. Banja's last words were," I........trust.......you." to Edme. She couldnt say much cuz her throat was ripped open. Edme takes care of Maudie from then on. They chase the group of outclanners off........or so they thought! Heep quickly recovers and surrounds them. In the end the Narwhals save Maudie and Myrr. Heep is pushed into the water and stabbed by Old Tooth's tusk. He dies and his tailless body is ripped open by sharks and leopard seals. The group is lead to the Distant Blue by a butterfly. The butterfly dies and they see it climb the star ladder with Banja. The end of all Wolves of the Beyond, and Owls of Ga'hoole....YOU AWESOMENESS BOOKS!!

Too good to ignore
I could not believe what I read from the last Wolves of the Beyond series from Lasky's book. I did not want it to end. Faolan grew stronger in this book because of Fengo, Eo and Finola in the last book. I couldn't stop being happy for Faolan as he was an extraordinary wolf. I was sad when I read this book, so it comforted me a lot. I was tied to this fabulous book. It fascinated me to be a writer when I grew up. As I love wolves and owls too, I might write about them. Faolan gave me ideas and I am already wishing that I could start a book right this instance. I have dreamed of making the most awesome book about protecting animals and nature from mankind from hunting them. The animals were beautiful in this book. It interested me and about the whole wide world out there. I hope one day to explore. To see freedom. To feel air and animals everywhere around me. Whatever it is, I will travel.

Great Series for Advanced Third/Fourth Graders on Up
I absolutely love Lasky's books, and I am (arguably) a grown woman. This one picks up where the last one left off, and young readers who read all of the Guardians books will get a special treat in this one (no spoilers, though - read the book!)The thing I like best about these books is how intensely character-driven they are. All of the characters - even Faolin, who in the hands of a less capable author might have been idealized or Mary Sue'd to the point of caricature - change over the course of time, and their growth drives the drama, the suspense, and the plot. This is awesome, because it becomes an opportunity for the parents of kids who like the books to talk about the themes of the book (leadership, trust, self-doubt, stereotypes, religion, spirituality, dogma, differences) on whatever level a particular kid is ready to discuss AND relate it to personal growth.Fast read for anyone over about 8 years old. Good vocabulary words through sixth grade. Subject matter can be experienced on many levels, making the book interesting for all ages. This is a good series for kids who already like the Erin Hunter and Brian Jacques books. One caveat is that the series raises some complicated social and religious questions. You may wish to discuss these issues with your child, especially if your viewpoint differs.

Truly Amazing
I honestly think this series was one of Kathryn Lasky's masterpieces alongside with her Guardians of Ga'hoole, but after reading all of these books and I'm in the process of once again re-reading them and I still find them absolutely flawless, I stay up until late hours listening to the audiobooks of this series(Sadly one has not been released for this final book which saddens me) and it is a fun way to burn the hours away with this amazing series.I think Kathryn Lasky did a wonderful job with this series and this book but I hope she eventually revists the beyonds and the wolves as I think that they need more screentime than they did, this is my alltime favorite book and I shall never forget this book series ever.If you are deciding upon buying this book or the series, I greatly motivate you to, this book and the rest in the series are absolutely amazing.

... all these 'That's relatable to me so I will like it' media
This point of view from an 'animal' is a very rare story idea (at least to me) And it is the twist I need because I'm tired of all these 'That's relatable to me so I will like it' media. I wanted something completely different from the norm. I hope a movie is made about this. (Owls of Ga'Hoole)They made pretty good buck for it being an 'debatable' unpopular series.Anything wolf in media is rare. (Except werewolves, I think we've had enough of those xP) So, being that it is rare. I think people would love a change of pace.

WE WANT MORE
Ok that ending was how should I put it. . . A total cut off this is personally my favorite book series and I honestly do want to see what kind of ideas you would have for the dust and blue. But the things I want to know are do Faolon and Edme have litters and does the Whistler and Mhaire get paw-fast does Rags end up with a mate and how does this clan live a usual life. And I Yahoo NEED a plot base it off of Heel somehow returning like he was allied into the pelt of a new pup like Edme Dearlas or Mhairea

Well worthy of 5 stars
This series is a joy to read I found it hard to put down & went from one book to the next with anticipation of what was coming next. Although the series of 6 books were written for children, it is also a good read for adults. I am a great grandmother aged 73 & was sorry to reach the end.

Star Wolf
So sad, but so beautiful! It was sad when the wolf I will not name dies, leaving her pup. And the one I will not name either goes virtually blind, but her hearing becomes so amazing. Such a beautiful ending! Well done, Lasky! Want to find out who died and who lost their eyesight - and who became mates? Buy this book now!
