I bought this for my son - he is working as a parking lot attendant at a beach and said this book set was an easy read while being interrupted. He enjoyed the series!

I fell in love with this series when I discovered it on several entertainment sites. The book series is different than the show with some of the characters doing things that never happened in the books. Belly is a very relatable character as an average girl who discovers that she is starting to attract boys when she returns to the summer beach house when she is 16. Her family often spends the summers with another family with two boys named Jeremiah and Conrad along with their mother Susannah. Belly has always loved Conrad, but she feels that he treats her like a little sister. Conrad has always taken care of her and continues to do so as they get older. He also doesn't make his feelings clear to Belly during the first two books. She becomes very confused because he doesn't define their relationship. He doesn't act like he wants to be a relationship with her and leaves her beartbroken at the prom. Throughout the book we see first love, heartbreak, family tragedy, boy and girl relationships, and family relationships. Belly and Conrad's relationship is one that is vey real and shows how painful love can be. The ending of the third book left me wanting to know what happened next although it is a nice conclusion. I'm interested to see what the movie will be like because it is the continuation of Belly and Conrad. I was disappointed that I had to send two box sets back because the books were a little damaged while shipping. The hardback books are only with the other cover without the cast pictures.
