The bulb on my old IKEA lamp finally blew, and it was actually cheaper to replace the lamp than to buy a new bulb. Sooooooo..... I picked this lamp, because I liked how it looked, it had good ratings, and I like the idea of the USB. I am very happy with it, but there are a couple of things that you need to know.First of all, when you put on the shade, *READ THE DIRECTIONS* I tried installing the bulb first, and the shade wouldn't go on. I finally figured out that you have to put on the shade first, and *THEN* screw in the bulb. I should have figured that out, but hey... My partner *does* say that I'm the "least observant person on the planet." :)Once I got it installed, I was very happy with it. It sits on my bedside table, and gives me all the light I need. The two USB ports will charge both my Iphone and Ipad at the same time, and do them pretty quickly.The other thing to know, is that there are two switches on the lamp. The chain on the lamp itself, and also an on/off switch on the cord. If the cord switch is turned off, the lamp won't come on with the chain, and the USB's won't charge. The best thing to do is to just make sure the cord switch is on, and leave it alone from there.A good unit. I am very happy with it.

I purchased a pair of these lamps for my office. I liked the size and look, as well as the USB port for charging. I was pleasantly surprised when they came. Both were boxed up, wrapped nicely and packaged well. Putting them together was a piece of cake and took about 30 seconds. They came with lightbulbs, one which was burned out, so I'm not sure if it was previous used before or just a lemon. Either way, not the biggest deal, as I had extras. There are switches on the cords to make turning them on/off convenient. The base is sturdy, the chains are easy to pull, the shades are a nice fabric and the rustic design goes nicely with my desk. The brighter lamp is actually the one with the bulb that came with it, and the less illuminated lamp is the one I used my own bulb in, which I actually like better and will probably do the same with the other lamp. Just my personal preference, as I find a lower wattage gives my office a nice, calming ambient atmosphere, which is more soothing. All together, I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend to potential buyers.

The glowing blue lights work against my esthetic and weren't in the description or pictures and seller advises there's no way to turn them off. I've ordered USB light blocking tape stickers, blocks (80-100%), and will stack 2 if needed.These work well with smart wifi bulbs and remote controlled outlets. I turned the color to yellow, dimmed to 15% with the app for the bulb then turn it on/off with the remote for the outlet. I've ordered a second lamp for the bedroom and use daybetter color bulbs and wilawels outlets.Update- 2nd lamp came in and the cord felt very soft and pliable compared to the dry stiff cord on the 1st one. Looking closer, the first one has 5A marked on the plug while the 2nd lamp has 3A rating.The 100% USB light blocking tape is amazing. It's on the lamp on the right and blocks all of the light with 1 sticker. The pack was just a few dollars. It looks SO much nicer.

The media could not be loaded. Very nice looking lamp. The base and shade are as pictured in the listing and look great. These fit together exactly as advertised, and put out a nice, reasonably bright yellow light, They look stylish, give enough light in my bedroom to read a book and still be soft to my eyes with the right brightness - my friends love them too! I especially like the flicker button, I think it's more convenient and durable than the touch feature which tends to stop working with time.The packaging of the items is excellent, very well protected! So much that I even kept the boxes to use them when I decide to move out to a different place. The materials have a nice quality making them look elegant.I highly recommend these lamps and would definitely buy from this buyer again. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Horrible. They sent a defective broken lamp. The on off switch does not work and the lamp is simply DANGEROUS there is no way to turn mine off and it continued to get hotter and hotter after only 1 hour and a half of continuous uae it blew the buld and nearly caused a FIRE. I contacted amazon as i had only had the lamp for about 3 hours at this point. They said the seller has no contact information. They offered no compensation, replacement or return options and simply sent me a BLANK contavt page and said it was on me to get in touch with the seller? What ? How can this be the way Amazon does business. The purchase of this lamp and the experience behind it is the reason i no longer have amazon prime and will never return or purchase a single thing from this souless company.

These are nice looking little lamps, great as bedside lamps, nice and minimalist with a shade that fits my decor. Having USB ports built into the lamp is super handy. But... and this is a big issue for me, and the reason they get knocked down to 3 stars... the USB ports have a bright blue LED light in them, that so far I haven't figured out how to turn off. Even turning off the lamp, the LED still shines. Even putting something in the USB port doesn't block out the light. So, at all times, there is a fairly bright LED blue shining in my bedroom. Just giving me a way to turn that off would be an excellent upgrade to these, and make them a 5 star item. For a lamp that's advertised as a bedside lamp to have such an obtrusive light on it that can't be turned off just seems stupid.
