Springfield Spring-Lock™ 9" Round Base Satin

Worked perfectly, fast shipping, didn't even drill a hole, love it so easy

Was exactly as stated and was easy to install - just what I needed to replace broken fitting

I bought this base to replace o.e. that came on my boat when new. Over the years of exposure to sun and heat the plastic insert inside the walls of the base broke down. Without this cheap insert the pedestal wobbles around rendering the seat on top unsafe. I found a scrap piece of roof flashing, cut it down to size, and it works great.

Great product, exactly what I needed. I wish the product description was a little better, I didn’t know if it was the correct part for me so I guessed and just got lucky. But like I said the product itself is good.

I guess it will serve its purpose ,however seems to be pretty cheaply made. One piece of cast aluminum with a sleeve. A dull, roughly brushed surface. Not the most attractive base in the world, but it will work. Also asks you to cut a hole on your deck of 4”. I was thinking maybe 2 to 3”, not 4. You get what you pay for.

Lousy post. Find a better post than Springfield to fit in this great base for your bass or flats boat casting seat.
