I have been using FoodSaver hand bag cutters for quite a few years to shorten stock bags and to cut bag rolls. They have come in handy for shortening stock bags for my larger vacuum sealer and also for cutting FoodSaver bag rolls. Alas, over time, the blades on the cutters I have became dull and I was on a quest to find replacements. This is the only cutter that I have found that can replace the cutters I have been using. Although these cutter do not have a magnet on them to keep them handy on the frig, I have a roll of cuttable magnets that works for this purpose. These bag cutters are safe to use as the blade is contained in the cutter. Since you get 12 of the bag cutters in a box, they are a great value for the money. They are durable for as long as the blade stays sharp, but, in my experience, the blades last for a long time depending on how much you use them. I am very happy with these cutters for my purpose, but I can see them being very useful for other purposes. They would work great for letter opening, cutting rolls of plastic wrap, and opening boxes. I'm sure there are other uses I haven't though of as yet. I would definitely recommend these cutter for cutting plastic bags and stock vacuum sealer bags. I hope this review was helpful for you.

Good tool for its intended use

I used these at work all the time, but they always went missing! So I went ahead and bought my own set. They're great for opening all sorts of stuff, also super sturdy and easy to clean.

Simple small box cutter. I used one of these at an old job years ago and spent ages trying to find it online for my current job. It's small enough to fit in your pocket and very safe to use. The only downside is that you can't replace the blade in it. Overall I'm very happy with it and would reccomend it to anyone using it in an office or shop.

Use for opening medical supplies for dialysis. Husband can't pull plastic bags open so ideal as not permitted to use scissors
