UPDATEAfter using this case for 2 weeks, I have changed my view slightly.It still has all the things that I like about it (see below in original review), however, the plastic part that the phone sits in, has deteriorated to a point where it is no longer useful as a protective case. Bit by bit the corners have cracked and fallen off. Neither the phone or case have been mistreated in any way and neither have been dropped. I can only guess that the plastic used to make the main part of the case is defective or a very cheap and nasty material.I think 2 stars is being generous.ORIGINAL REVIEWThis is a well designed, well made product. For the most part.I've had a lot of phones and I've always bought cases for them.Some completely blocked the signal, which made both things useless. Others made using the side buttons almost impossible, and others would partially block the charging and earphone ports.This one does none of those things.All the side buttons are easy to use, the charging and earphone ports are completely unobstructed, as is the sim and sd slot on the top of the phone, the camera and fingerprint cutout is perfect. While reading reviews for the S8, some people said that the fingerprint scanner was hard to use because of the placement. I have to agree. For the first couple of days before I got a case, it took multiple attempts to get my finger in the correct position. The cutout in this case seems to guide my finger to the exact spot it needs to be. While I'm looking at the screen I just hook my finger over the top and let the cutout guide me. It works every time.The front is semi-transparent, which means you can see the phone's screen without opening the case. You can also adjust the volume up and down with the case closed and even call up Bixby, without the use of a cutout.The phone slips into the case easily, and doesn't call for a hammer and chisel to remove it.It has a nice sleek look and feel to it. And it comes in purple! Little things...There is just one thing that could mar this otherwise perfect product. There are cracks in the top right and bottom left corners of the case. This means the integrity of the case has already been compromised, so the first little knock could render it useless. Maybe using a stronger, less brittle plastic, or silicone would have been a better idea.Minus 1 star as product arrived slightly damaged.

Used this case for about 4 months - unfortunately I dropped it and part of the front cover broke off in a couple of places. Although the plastic frame of the case did crack slightly shortly after I got the case, it didn't break off so durable in that respect! Case looked great and I like knowing the front is protected as with this case, so if it hadn't have broken when dropped (my fault obviously) I would have continued to use this case. I have now purchased a different case mainly based on better reviews found elsewhere.

Although the cover is good for the price the weaknessed mentioned by a reviewer above concerning cracking in the corners has happened to me.After phone fitment, two small single cracks in two corners developed within a week. These developed into further cracks as the plastic under tension proved too brittle to hold the phone in place. The cracks have developed such that bits of platic are falling off and the ability of the case to hold the phone has been compromised.The fact that the screen cover is hard means any grit or dirt mills the screen when it's in your pocket too leaving blemishes you can't get rid of.I like the case and the service was great but it has flaws that makes it unusable sadly.

Cracking cover but just a few things I’ve noticed with using it are that sometimes u have to try a few times to make it stand to watch tv and trying to rap your finger round to open your phone is a challenge in its self...but apart from that it’s fine

It's a nice looking case that certainly keeps your phone safe. The app it tells you to use sadly does not work well but that can be fixed. It's a bit of a fingerprint magnet but nothing that can't be cleaned off easily. Worth the price for sure.

The case is very good, easy access to the finger print at the back. Has + and - symbols for the volume keys and a symbol for the Bixby button, however I find that having the case on makes it a bit stiff to press these buttons

The case is fine as a case. It looks good and is robust, But doesn't function as a samsung original. The phone does not turn on when you open the case and you can't see the time through the cover in always on mode.

I felt it looked good and partially protected the phone. The screen is exposed. I don't tend go drop my phone to be fair but on those rare occasions I would be thinking is my phone ok. Looks good though
