Great story for tweens

Dawn has a playful and friendly way of writing that seems to captivate my ten year old son more than my other books on shamanism and dreams. While we often read this book together before bed and talk about our dreams the next day, there have been many recent times where he and I each read this book separately. I really enjoy it and feel the mystery invoked when the author first begins to retell her dreams.

I loved this book and will undoubtedly read it again and again. This is a book about hope for our planet and the future, a book about what it means to be human -- and a relatively new species at that -- sharing this planet with non-human companions, and a book that beautifully illustrates that there is so much we don't know and don't understand....but that we have the opportunity to learn, if we just allow our dreams and our imagination to guide us into what is possible. This book explores the dream world and the imaginal realms of consciousness, and so much more. If you are interested in dreams, lucid dreaming, bears, polar bears, climate change, or spirituality and consciousness, this is an amazing book full of layers of lessons and meaning, as well as joy and whimsy. As someone who is trying to hone my intuitive abilities, this book was one of the best I've come across for helping me to understand how to open myself to the wisdom of animals and other ways of knowing, other states and forms of consciousness. Thank you, Dawn, for this authentic expression of your experience. It is truly a gift to the world.

not at all what I expected

I have enjoyed the style of this book and its invite to dreaming with polar bears, bridgers between multiple realities. This book is a memoir, the story of a series a dreams and a call to connect with deeper realities.
