Poor Coverage
I've used a ton of TotalBoat products during my build of a 26 foot Wharram catamaran and always been pleased. I thought TotalBoat had a great market for this, a water based, semi-gloss, easy to use pour pack, but unfortunately I have to review the main intent of this product which is paint. As a paint this product is sub-par. The color and sheen are great, but the worst coverage of a topside paint I've ever used. Applying the seafoam color over a white primer has taken 3 coats thus far and still don't have the rich opaque color that their wet edge line gave me on my dinghy build last season.

Hard, semi-gloass surface
This produces a semi-gloss surface that is hard and free of brush strokes when used as directed. It cures very fast, faster than any paint I have ever used. I would not use the paint to coat a surface that a person might walk on. The white color produces a soft white finish.

Excellent Stuff
This is superb paint, I just painted the side of a 42 year old Searay, lightly sanded and applied this, roller or brush it just smooths into a lovely finish.I was amazed at how little I used too. It was excellent.

Easy to apply but not durable
Easy to apply. Very similar to rustoleum topside paints found at my local Lowe’s. Although rustoleum might be more durable. I had to cover this paint with 2K clear for it not to scrape off with a firm scratch of a fingernail. To be expected with one part water based. You’d need to clear coat it for any meaningful boat application.

great paint
very easy to work with , very nice color , , first time using this product ,,,,,,used there haylon clear varnish over the paint and it came out robust ,,,,,,will use all of there product on my sportfishing boat

build mahogany model boat kits.
Beautiful flow and leveling. Wish it had a bit more titanium oxide so it would cover better....it takes about 4 to 6 coats to cover underlying color but finish is smooth as glass. Will continue to use this product.

Looks awesome on lazarettes
My old sailboat’s interior storage lazarettes were looking pretty tired. Mildew stains, scuffs, worn out gel coat, streaks etc. This paint dried much harder compared to an acrylic or latex, and the lazarettes looked bright and clean

I used this to paint the cabin ceiling of my J30
I used this to paint the cabin ceiling of my J30.It covered evenly and I only needed 2 coats. Time will tell if it truly has the mildew resistance necessary for this application, but it was inexpensive, easy to apply and easy to clean up.
