Good sub for NongShim Spicy Shin Ramyun with a small tweak
I didn’t want all the calories and carbs but still wanted to enjoy the taste of NongShim Spicy Shin Ramyun substituting shiratake noodles. At first, I was a little disappointed because when I used the amount required to get the flavor intensity right, they were too spicy. Mixing this 50/50 with beef bouillon powder gives a more intense flavor at a more acceptable level of spice.

When you want just the soup
This stuff is a life-saver when I’m craving a hot, spicy Korean soup. It’s got the perfect kick of heat and makes any ramen taste rich and flavorful in seconds. Perfect for chilly days when I just want something warm and comforting. Just mix it in, and boom—instant deliciousness. Can’t live without it!

Good substitute for Nongshim spicy ramen seasoning packs
I can confirm what a few other reviewers have noted: that this seasoning powder is a good substitute for Nongshim brand Shin spicy ramen noodle seasoning. While the flavor is not absolutely 100% identical, it is very close, and the the spicy/hotness level is very similar also. For fans of the Nongshim spicy ramen noodle packs, this seasoning offers a nice alternative option to: 1) buy plain Nissin or Maruchan ramen noodle packs to use with this seasoning and save a good amount per pack over Shin noodle packs (30+% or more), or 2) get a very similar spicy flavor with other kinds of your favorite noodles that Nongshim does not commonly offer (e.g., Hong Kong-style thin noodles). If you really like the spicy flavor of Shin ramen, you can get this seasoning and save money, or get the flavor with other varieties of noodles you might like better - give it a try either way, and see for yourself!

Good seasoning
Tasty! I love the option of being able to use my low carb noodles with this and feel like I’m eating Shin ramen. I feel it’s not as spicy, so I add a little extra hot sauce or fresh peppers from my garden. Very similar! This is also good as a base for kimchi stew and other Korean soups.

Great Soup base in a mug, during the cold trails with rains and snow, on Camino de Santiago in Spain
We had 95% days of Wet days, on Oct-Nov 2023 trip on Santiago French way.It was just terrible to dip the feet into the mixture of wet animal poop, and, sharp gravels in the dense mud pools which one could not avoid, during hours of rain each day. And your body heat builds sweating hot heat, caught in the poncho for 8-10 hours. Then, when you arrive to the each day's destination, and, before departing in the next morning, you get this soul-warming soup base, in a mug, and it was relaxing the mind - an instant boost to the tired spirit.Back at home, when I crave for a ramen, I choose to drink this or put a controlled portion in other dishes I cook. I have not had Jin Ramen, and I cannot tell if this Jinhan is authentic, but the address shows the product was made and sold by same Ottogi co, which is authentic to Jin Ramen. My soup powder does not have the zip lock closure and had to use clip and put in a sealed container. And, almost a year later, it is still fresh, and not clumpy.Highly recommended!

Too short of expiration.
Purchased in April but it's going to expire in September. Too short for powder. :(It's 1,700won on Korea and paying the US premium.
