CAP Barbell CAP Barbell Neoprene Coated Dumbbells

I like the neoprene coating at least for small pound dumbbells. Unfortunately, they have gotten very expensive and hard to find. But, to be fair, one can charge what the market will bear. At least this is a very nice dumbbell. I had to buy the second one separately and the color is not exactly the same as the first one (same seller), but that doesn't bother me. They may be sourcing them from different manufacturers.The two dumbbells arrived fairly quickly (3 days) and packed properly. I think for heavier (20 pounds and above) dumbbells you should consider the standard metal bar type. These are comfortable, but I do recommend wearing gloves to protect your hands. If you have arthritis, as I do, you should get padded workout gloves. I also think avoiding sweating on them (which gloves will do) should make them last longer. I highly recommend these dumbbells.

Great little dumbbell! Nice color easy to hold on to, works great in my home gym. I ordered single dumbbells because they were cheaper this way than buying them in a set. So definitely purchase these as singles. Value was great and I am completely satisfied with these dumbbells 💯! They seem like they will last a long time I’ve had them for about 5 months now and they are just as nice as when I first purchased them. Trust me they’ve been dropped enough times too! Definitely happy with them.

Beware, it says “dumbbells” in title but this only comes with a single dumbbell, not two. Otherwise, it’s a very nice soft flex grip and I ordered another to go with it.

Why would anyone sell ONE dumbbell?!? I know it’s my fault for not reading the fine fine print but I assumed that at the price I paid, I was going to get a “set.” What’s even more misleading is that after I received the one dumbbell, the price went up 80% so that I couldn’t afford to make it a set. Get this.. over $100 for ONE dumbbell. Not sure what the price is now but I swear it was on purpose. It was right after Christmas last year. What a joke. Anyone want to buy my one dumbbell?

I had high hopes for this red 12 lb barbell, which is neoprene coated. However, it arrived with four different slits or punctures in the neoprene coating, rendering this barbell unusable. When I went to return this damaged and defective item on Amazon, I was informed from this seller, Fencerwire, that while I may return this damaged product, I must pay for shipping and a 10% restocking fee, which is frankly just ridiculous and totally unacceptable. In a case like this, where the product is clearly defective, the customer should not be forced into a position where he has to pay for return shipping, and to add insult to injury, also pay a 10% restocking fee on what is already a vastly overpriced item ($44 for a single barbell). Fencerwire--you can do better than this for your customers! I can now see why you have only a 68% positive rating on Amazon. You should be much more customer friendly in a case like this one, and pay for return shipping with NO restocking fee. Why would you want to restock a defective item--it should be recycled instead. All in all, buying this product from Fencerwire has been a very negative experience.

I had a serious issue with the shipping, but this seller did in the end make it right. I was also confused and thought I was buying a pair of weights, but perhaps I did not read the description properly. The weight itself was in good condition. What was most important to me was that the seller worked with me in the end.

This is a review for the 8lb dumbells - They are great.... the neoprene is fresh and smells good and I use these every day. The hexagonal ends make for easy storage and the color makes you want to work out every day. The eight-pounders are actually quite hard to find... most stores just carry the 5 and 10 pounders. This seller and product was the right answer to my needs. Much obliged.

I had surgery to repair de quervain’s I had been suffering with for 6 months. This weight is the perfect size to help with therapy. The width is just right so my thumb feels comfortable griping it. Has just the right amount of weight to get my muscles burning but not overwhelming them.

Very good Quality Happy with this.

Absolute joke, expected a set of weights and only received one, no idea what I am supposed to do with one arm weight! £15 for one weight is a complete rip off.
