The Dead Sea Scrolls

Interesting lectures, but you only receive one volume of a 2 volume set. We got volume one, and another reviewer got volume two. But there doesn't seem to be another location to purchase the volume that you did not receive. Very strange.

Worth getting them and listening to the lectures. What I like about this speaker is that there isn't a lot of mindless chatter... Everything he says is pertinent to the subject and to the point. I am listening to them more than once to catch the details. The lecturer comes across as very knowledgeable on the subject matter. He balances Christianity and Jewish history in a very informative and non-biased manner.The book that comes with it has the outlines. I find this helpful to go over the high points of the lecture. I have used some of this info in conversation with friends as just interesting historical facts that most people know little about.. it has provided some good ice breakers and people seemed genuinely interested in the topic.

Wow, I found out that the Old Testament patriarchs WERE NOT really supposed to have multiple wives or get divorced. But King David and Solomon did not know about this prohibition!!! REALLY!!!! And don't get me started on the Essenes.

I was really looking forward to popping these audio CDs of the Dead Sea Scrolls into my Bose player. Imagine my disappointment when only volume two was enclosed in the package. :-(

Amazon says that it has been downloaded to my Fire tablet but it won't play. So sick of this thing. I give it one star because it won't let me submit otherwise
