The yarn itself is gorgeous, with a deep, rich color. However, it was next to impossible to untangle. Strands clung to each other and knotted up until it was impossible to sort out. After many hours of patiently picking through it, I still had to cut it into small balls instead of having one continuous round ball of yarn.

I gave this a 4 because I have not worked with the yarn yet. I am building the project. But the yarn looks and feels wonderful.

I can't use this for my project - the color is far too light - more charcoal grey than black - too bad - nice feel.

The yarn is of excellent quality, consistent thickness and evenly wrapped 3-ply. It has a lot of shine and I noticed it will not show patterns as easily. I feel stockinette stitch is best suited. I will likely use 2.25mm to 2.75mm bamboo knitting needles because this yarn is very fine and slippery. My gauge using 2.75mm needles is approx. 32 stitches by 44 rows for a 4" x 4" patch in stockinette before washing garment. I just started my project, so I do not know how much, if any, shrink there is to be considered after washing for the first time. Be careful as silk yarn knots easily. I wrapped the yarn right away to help prevent knots and snags.

Soft vibrant silk. Used standard shipping and received a month early. I use it to crochet fashion doll clothes. I would definitely order from them again.

I wanted to use to make a doily, came smelling of maybe mothballs? Have been airing out for a month and still doesn't smell good.
