We bought this for our student's that do not like the under the tongue method
We bought this for our student's that do not like the under the tongue method. It's a great idea and when it works, fantastic. Problem is that it doesn't work even half of the time so we are constantly using both this and our WelchAllyn SureTemp Plus to compare readings. And we usually end up with having to ignore the Thermafocus altogether. Attempts to calibrate it failed. We are keeping it only with the hope that it would work the day one of our sensitive kids comes in.

We had the same thermometer 5+ years ago (can't remember when purchased) and it was amazing. Lasted a long time and read accurat
Accurate room temp. Questionable temps on people. Some days it is accurate. Other days, it is 1-2 degrees off base. this is far easier than trying to drag a forehead thermometer across an angry and squirming childs' head. this also works better when they are sleeping, and the light is safe according to the manual (no harm looking into the light)

no instructions
It comes with no instructions!!!! I have written an email and haven't gotten a response. Since where we live we measure in Celsius, having no instructions to change from Fahrenheit makes it useless for use!!!

It is not working any more. Only shows high temperature for anyone.But it's an expensive thermometer. I hope I can return and get a new one.
